Covenant University (CU), Abeokuta, Ogun State, came ahead of University of Ibadan, University of Lagos and others according to the latest ranking by Times Higher Magazine.

The bases measure for the university ranking globally centered on research made by each university.

Covenant University (CU) now ranked 562 globally. The report that came out stated that CU scored 24.8, while University of Ibadan

scored 21.8 and University of Lagos scored 14.0 respectively.

Speaking about the feat, the Vice Chancellor said that the university, in recent years, channelled her most effectual efforts to improve research in the country.

“Covenant University has supported numerous conferences and publications and has given research grants to the tune of hundreds of millions of naira in support of this. The university has been supporting the publication of articles by faculty members in high-impact journals in millions of foreign currencies over the years,” Adebayo said.

Even in 2021 best ten candidates , five of them are in covenant university.
Covenant University is the saviour of private universities in Nigeria, if not for covenant ,public universities would have used bad mouth to finish graduates of private universities.
Imagine the statement by ASSU president that people who got 120 in jamb end up making 1st class in private universities .
