If anything we should be leading in the renewable energy crusade, look at solar energy wasting away in Sahara desert. That region is a gold mine if harnessed properly. The heat from Sahara can provide electricity to whole Africa, we can also export the solar energy to rest of the world. That's how u replace natural gas and coal.
Africa is too blessed, we just have morons at the helm of affairs.
