We want to draw the attention of the general public to the recent position canvassed by our Chairman, Engr B D Lawal, as the position of our Group.

We wish to state that necessary consultations have been concluded, and based on manifestly unassailable empirical data, the group is poised to adopt a position which will be made known to the public at an interfaith event to be held very soon.

Also suffices to say that no one in the group including the Chairman has been mandated to speak to the public about our position at this material time.

Based on our modus Operandi, our position was meant to be presented to the general public at the event above referred to. That has not changed.
Consequently, the decision to endorse a particular candidate and the statement credited to the chairman are soley the decision and views of the Chairman which he is absolutely entitled to but not that of the group.

We hope this statement clears all the querries most of us have been inundated with on this all important subject matter.

When will people learn that wanton endorsement by sectoral group doesn't translates to votes?
The decision to elect someone is a matter of personal perception and conviction. That's why it is democracy & not autocracy or oligarchy.

I'm a Northern Christian and I'll vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu regardless of who my G.O, provincial pastor, zonal pastor or parish pastor adopt/endorsed.

Babachir Lawal is a sore loser. His target was to be Asiwaju's running mate being a Christian. Same with Dogara Yakubu.

Who could have made Babachir a running mate, upon all the weighty scandalous allegations of fraud levelled against him as SGF? Not many people are aware court has cleared him. Don't forget that Asiwaju himself is having his 'fair share' of such allegations too. It could make things worse. Politically he's a minus.

Dogara Yakubu just came back into APC after he rebelled. Should he be welcomed back into the fold with such an exalted position? In any case Dogara mentor and spiritual father is harbouring a perpetual disdain for "some" select muslims ; even though he selectively went with some eminent men of the cassock to plead on another's behalf with chief Obasanjo in 2019. Dogara can't sway Bishop.

Both of them are self-styled christians running helter skelter in their practice of Christianity of convenience. No deep thinking person will reckon with them.

This habit of jumping like a rabbit on heat from one party to another just to achieve your aim shows lack of principle, political ideology and character. I respect Gov. Wike for this one reason.

Babachir and Dogara are just struggling for relevance. Period.

Will it not be important to also attach their positions within the group?

Since the first information emanated from the Chairman, a counter by, say, Vice Chairman or General Secretary or any other executive of the association would lend credence to this.

I hope they're not trying to drum up an emergency meeting in an aged former Chairman's house, like they did for one Southwestern Socio Cultural Group like that undecided

Babachir and Dogara are hypocrite, they position themselves for VP slot based on their religion. Assuming they actually want equity for Christianity, they should campaign vigorously for either Osinbajo or Amechi that it's fair for Christian to takeover from Buhari after 8years but rather they supported Tinubu thinking he will look at their direction.

You cant support Peter Obituary and not look foolish. It's only senseless animals that supports Peter Obituary. In a sane society, person like Peter Obituary should be contesting for ward chairman to learn politicking after is terrible performance as a governor in Anambra.

By this time next year, Tinubu and others will be queuing in line to shake and welcome the new president on his official visit to Lagos State.
