Has there ever been a match by doing same? Let's not get carried away and get confuse possibilities with reality.

@ topic. The staff should be made to repay what was stolen. There should even be an investigation since it may very well be a set up by the teller. It is gross negligence for her to leave money attended within reach of the public. She should have to repay... no excuses.

so you expect her to count the money and immediately move each bundle counted to the vault? You have not meet with customer that will put you in trouble before. You will bundle count before counting it wrap by wrap and keep the money in a safe and hidden place and customer will still accuse you of stealing their money. The money I was seeing is well strap which mean she is yet to confirm the cash and they have been confirming cash in that same position for long before that happens. Such an amount should never be in the banking hall but in the bulk room.

Blame the bank for turning tellers to factory worker that will do work meant for bulk teller. 90% of banks have bulk room with zero bulk teller inside.

You can't be too careful when situation like this will happen.

I doubt it and it shouldn't be so. These banks don't just want to hire someone who will be monitoring these things. Now it has caused them problem. Unfortunately it's the cashier they will transfer the whole blame on. But ideally had someone monitored the cameras, he would have raised an alarm and the guy would have been arrested. Doubt if the will ever find that guy.

They will. Other Cameras will see his face clearly, til the ones at the gate as he escapes the building.
And they will try and get which staff had am interaction with him, with that, they will get
his details too...

Even if the cctvs caught his face, it will be hard to trace him. He can easily relocate if he is an existing customer.

Nigeria is not too organized digitally. He'll enjoy the money in the same state without being caught.
