Tinubu leadership style as demonstrated in Chatham house has endeared him to me the more.

He shows high sense of capacity & dexterity to delegate competent hands & a top notch team player.

I've always believed that the President must not be the know-it- all candidate but the one who has the capacity & managerial experience to spot competent hands, delegate, and coordinate to ensure the job is done.
God bless you more

If not for some naive. Yoruba youth, Obi name should have been banned in South West. Everywhere online, you will never find a single Igbo who is not for Obi. That's how to understand conspiracy. There criticism of Tinubu is a reflection of their habitual discrimination of every top Yoruba men. .

I remember how we all celebrated Chimamanda Adichie breakthrough with her novel. That same lady later used her platform to lampoon Adeleke, a Yoruba writer. Don't think I recalled the name correctly. We all celebrated the brilliance of Okonjo Iweala, Charles Soludo and every member of Obasanjo economic team. We aren't even mindful of the fact that Frank Nweke Junior was playing the role of Lai Mohammed. But they castigated Kami Adeosun and mock her exit from Buhari government . Every brilliant Yoruba personality in Buhari government, they painted as incompetent.

We still respect Chinua Achieve till date but they spare no word of commendation for Whole Soyinka. To them, he is a puppet of the nobel Laurette organization in Stockolm. They even forget the sacrifice he made for them during the Biafra war.

Generation Z, you are on the bed with the worng people. You join the self adulation bandwagon but always quick to criticize your your. Your obsession with trend has made your lost your self awareness. Your are caught in do not let behind syndrome .
This your tribal card will not sell, we have gone beyond this kind of reasoning. Go and check previous election results, Igbos have supported other presidential candidate against their own tribal person, that Includes Obasanjo winning in south east against Ekwueme.

What a lame excuse
Fact:Tinubu has no answer to the questions
Second, this is what Buhari has been practicing that brought us to this mess
How can you refer someone else to answer a question channelled to you

Most of the people defending this new low are yorubas. Its a pity that we can go this low. Imagine someone going for a job interview for the post of a manager and goes along with other people to answer questions on his behalf. You can only start talking about teamship after getting the job. You don't put the cart before the horse. Why are some Yoruba people turning everything upside down just because Tinubu must become president. Must the ambition of one man turn the rest of us into morons?
Unfortunately you don't understand the job of a president, you are still thinking within your regular understanding of interview. If dangote if going to borrow money from an international bank for investment in automobile production today, do you think dangote will go to the meeting alone or choose to answer all the questions? Your answer should give you a clue to what the job of a president is all about. You guys are talking as if he got there sat down somewhere and asked people to speak for him, sincerely in your mind, do you think Tinubu of all people has nothing or no nothing to say about those three areas? I mean you actually think Tinubu do not know what to say when a question on finance/economy was thrown at him or that of the security and question on oil theft? If I don't know much of his knowledge on oil theft, I definitely know he has something to say about economy and security and I know must of you understand that but you just choose to be political in your reaction

All you urchins are indeed senseless...you are just as dumb and a fraud like Tinubu.

babajero, the difference between Nigeria and the USA is that one has strong politicians while the other has strong institutions. The constitution already guarantees the workings of government. The executive is only to implement. Now with strong politicians, it is all about I, me, myself etc. Like the way Obi was saying I did this, I did that. That is very wrong. You need strong institutions with professionals because government is a continuum. Whoever come in, government will continue. That is Asiwaju's way. When he was governor of Lagos state, he created institutions that still exist till this day. LASTMA, LAWMA, etc. What did obi do? I invested in my family business with state funds.

It wouldn't be fair, wise or realistic to expect Mr. Tinubu to have all the attributes of a good leader. He wouldn't be human if he did. But I do not believe he has enough of those attributes to do the job he is seeking.

Your question about 'who decides what quality is to be had or not' is a fair one. You have also provided the answer. Voters decide in the end. I am a voter and I presume you are one too. I have just one vote though. If in the end enough voters decide to elect Mr. Tinubu, then so be it. But I still maintain he is not the right man for the job.

Ok. Now we are stepping things up a gear or two.

Great point you made about institutions. But strong institutions go far beyond the LASTMAs and LAWMAs (important as they are) of this world. My favourite example is freedom of information legislation. Despite Goodluck Jonathan's failings (and they are many), his administration signed freedom of information legislation into law at the federal level. What did the then ACN governor in Lagos do? What did the the then ACN dominated LASG lawmakers do? Absolutely nothing. Then governor Babatunde Raji Fashola undecided made the terrible, unbelievably cynical claim that this legislation cannot be domesticated at the state level (whatever the hell that means). To this day, as far as I'm aware LASG has not passed any FOI legislation.

If Bola Tinubu was the institution builder you claim he is then we would have seen his impact in things of this nature. But that is not the case. And no, it isn't because he is no longer in government. Was he in government when LASG lawmakers attempted to pass a law enthroning Alphabeta consulting as a revenue/tax collector in Lagos state for eternity? undecided

Tinubu is not the right man for the job.

To defend or follow tinubu, you must delete and destroy your God given ability to reason.

You must turn a blind eye to stark realities

You must kill your conscience .

You must hang your brain and throat on the tree of tribalism.

Emilokan is a disaster that must not be allowed.

I say this again, if you see yourself defending or pushing for tinubu at this stage, you must see a psychiatric specialist.
