We have manuscripts that have been dated back to the first Islamic century.
The prophet SAW taught his companions the Quran and these same companions turned it into a book immediately after he died, through a rigorous process. These has all been documented.
So yes, it was only through questioning that these books were complied and preserved!
Also it is because these books have been verified that we believe in them in their entirety.

Now, there are over 1.5 billion Muslims world wide. In Nigeria alone, there is an estimated 80 million Muslims. If that 80 million Muslims wanted to kill Christians in the name of Islam do you think a single non Muslim will be in Nigeria?
