Is it by sealing or asking them how much did they buy from depot? Senseless government who doesn't know jack about business. How many major marketers do they have in ekiti? Apart from one total and the nnpc along UNAD Road, who else can sell at the normal pump price?

Every things federal under PMB are just dead. This job is suppose to be the duty of "wait and measure" under DPR.But they are too busy hence the marketers sell at any rate.Same thing for all the federal government officials from head to the least.

I don't want to believe these independent marketers get fuel at official rate to marketers and this must be reason why they sell above normal price

However, some independent marketers are wicked. A filling station in Ibadan sold 300naira per litre around 9pm but following morning, sold 270 just because another filling station that's just a stone throw away from them sold 250.
Some of these independent marketers get fuel to their station at a price lesser than 190 but sold at 250 which is too much

Thanks to BOVAS filling station, I only buy fuels at BOVAS at normal 180 except fuel for generating set which I buy at 250 from another filling station

Federal government should wake up to reality & do the needful, people are suffering too much

Speaking on the reason while the petrol station was sealed off, Chairman, Petroleum Products Task Force, Mr Israel Adesokan said the owner was selling petrol at two hundred and ninety naira per litre

He warned those selling above the pump price to desist in order not to be sanctioned

The government basically does not know what they do.

The station sells above the pump price because NNPC is selling to independent depots, to make back some of the money it loses from importing fuel at N510 and subsidising it down to N148 per liter.

The marketer has to buy from the independent depot...at higher prices.

The result...he increases price because selling at NNPC set prices...lose money.

Subsidy has to go.

The everage Petrol station in Imo sells a litre of petrol for N280. And this is in Owerri Town. You can imagine what is going on in the villages where little or no task force exists.

Why is there no lasting solution to the hike in prices especially during Christmas?
And we have five pot-belly South East Governors who'd rather chase a pile dream in far away Abuja than actually serve their people.

If you were selling bread that cost you N1000 to make at N1500 so that you can make a profit of N500, and then government comes in and tells you to sell the bread at N300 instead...so that you can help the poor...what would you do?

You will do what these marketers are doing.

Start from the fact that it costs N500 to bring in one liter of fuel,and NNPC essentially sells it to market at N148, and you will see the reason why when you reason am.

Add the fact that even if we are refining oil in this country, it cannnot cost less than N250 to refine one liter.

When stations in Akwa Ibom are selling at 300 per litre

Go and check again. Hardly would you find an independent marketer selling at the normal pump price which the major marketers are selling outside lagos. Even within Lagos, many sell at 250 naira, talkless of far away ekiti. I was in Ado Ekiti recently so I know . If you live in Ado, please do us a favour by taking a picture of their dispenser meter and a shirt video for confirmation and share with us. This has nothing to do with politics. Even by selling at 250 or so, there's still long queues. Can you buy yam at 20 naira and still sell at same price? Impossible

Bought a liter for 270. It's really annoying.

Almost all filling stations in Ado-Ekiti except BOVAS is selling above pump price, the most annoying part of it is that they have adjust the pump to the level that you get just above 8 litres for every 10 litres purchased. Corruption in Nigeria can never be eradicated it's everywhere.

Here in borno state,its 315 per litre,

They are foolish all they need is money for this Xmas after somedays they will open it back
