Nigeria is a place where misfits in government expect people on the streets to know the right thing to do and when to do so without the government putting up requisite measures to help both people and businesses to know their limits even before starting off any venture.

Night clubs are generally situated at places where noise won't be an issue. The place to situate such ventures in Lagos should be designated ab initio by the state government. Appropriate structures and monitoring systems should also be in place to help the businesses conduct themselves appropriately.

But here, you get up one day only to see governments bulldozers demolishing houses and offices that were built with permissions from the same Government. You see establishments being torn down for being at the wrong location and you wonder why the agencies in charge allowed the structure to be erected at the "wrong place" in the first place..

Did you read the story at all? There were stakeholder meetings which Quilox refused to attend. The noise decibel was increased to allow compliance.

BTW there has always been a club in that location fir as long as I can remember. Quilox just takes things to far because of the owners political connections to the ruling party.

Same Lagos where people erect canopies on streets for parties? No state govt really has the moral high ground to beat their chest and say they are champions of upholding the law. The govt reacts to noise pollution complaints but watch as danfo drivers park anyhow on the road to pick passengers. It's almost as if they are invisible to LASTMA. To call out another region is ridiculous and daft when you've not finished dealing with your own flaws.

Lasepa has taken action against lots of churches, mosques, music stores, hotels and factories that have been engaged in noise pollution and there are many nairaland threads about those incidents, so I'll encourage you to complain, because the system works.

Sometimes you guys will just wake up and type rubbish when you have never move out from your abode to other areas and see how things are done. I'm not from SE but I can boldly tell you that Lagos is the most disorganised state in Nigeria. You wake up one day in a residential areas and see a brothel, until the CDA complains, the government will not do anything. This Quilox has been causing nuisance in this vicinity and obstructing free flow of traffic, government did not do anything until the neighbourhoods starting complaining.

this is definitely coming from someone who hasn't been to lagos...you are big mumu...Sha try ask your friends in VI you will know there is traffic congestion and too much noice in that neighborhood.... alot of people of influence leave in that area they must surely invite the government to take actions

I am familiar with that area and I have not witnessed any traffic jam due to the nightclub compared to the jam at Jakande or Chevron along same axis. Also, what do you say aboutthe Civic Center close to the club? The jam from the Civic Centre is worse than any from the Club. Why are they not harassing the centre? I am not a clubber but I believe the club has a positive role in a modern city like Lagos.
