MY new year's resolution is to be more resistant to pleasure and comfort. From pleasurable foods that are unhealthy and makes one add weight, and not doing what I had to do because there is tomorrow.

I achieved all my resolutions for last year, but late because I was postponing, procrastinating and choosing comfort instead of grind. Comfort is an enemy of masculinity, and this year, I've declared war on it.

You will improve really well if you stick to it. I made a truce with myself that I will start eating healthy and go back to exercising full-time. I didn't eat sugar since December till now, and I lost 5kg already. Food was hella boring, but I ate them because it was healthy and made me feel light.

This was me last year too. Got comfortable but quickly realized that you cannot get comfortable because this life is a dog eat dog jungle.

Follow people like David Goggins on social media, this guy is anti-low-performance. You cant follow him and be slow, never. Also, listen to lots of stoic podcasts. They run for hours, so make sure you do it when you are, for example, running or in the gym. It helps me keep going when I am tired.

This year, we must face it bumper to bumper. Adulthood is truly a scam. See as responsibilities full everywhere, and time is not even waiting for me. This year I go be one year older, and time will just keep counting regardless if I perform or not. So bro, be hard on yourself. No comfort and pleasure. Leave that for children.

just insert on youtube any of the famous stoics, so eg ''Marcus Aurelius's reflections'', then you will see so much that will take you months to listen to. Then if you are done with Marcus, change it to "Seneca, Epictetus, Cleanthes, Zenos, and the modern ones would be Carl Yung, Arthur Schopenhauer, and even Jordan Peterson.

The last three are not stoics, but their works really do shine a torch about life in general and are very helpful. Schopenhauer is very pessimist, so make sure you are strong to digest how he describes life. But its really deep and makes you free.
