This NNPC under kyari and Buhari will use little money made from Niger delta oil to sqanderliously look for oil that does not exist in the north. That's where they are cashing out. Believe them at your on peril.

Nice development but coming @ a time crude oil is no more a reliable energy as many alternate energy sources have long been discovered e.g.production of biogas( e.g. Methane, Butane from faeces), conversion of light energy from solar panels etc.

They government promised to diversify from the oil dependent mono-economy but alas wasted huge chunk of scarce resources prospecting for an elusive but worthless crude oil in the global market. Guess they can now allow for a peaceful disintegration of this contraption called a country?

It's still not enough. Diversification doesn't mean you shouldn't invest in oil and gas discovery, with all this green energy noise, in the next 50yrs the world would still be using oil and gas.
And country like Nigeria with our large population should be producing nothing less than 4m+ barrel per day. Then add agriculture, mining, manufacturing, trading, we should be hitting nothing less than $500bn annual revenue.

For Nigeria to have any positive impact on her citizens she have to generate 150trn+ naira
