Only those of a putative primordial predilection to mediocrity would eschew the verve and panache with which the esteemed and peerless Patrick Obahiagbon aka Igomigodo delivered his magniloquent, lexiphanic sermons and sardonically and jocularly excoriated political adversaries through his mastery of the most passe entries in Samuel Johnson's thesaurus. Unlike his peers who have been consigned to oblivion, Obahiagbon was infinitely amenable to the hoi poloi of the 4th Republic whether regaling listeners with tales of his ravenous consumption of literature, railing against the "sardonic lugubrious state of disma pisma" in the nation, or rendering "apologia" to the Representative caucus.

Needless to say, the proliferation of the English language as the primary means of communication amongst the South-South tribes of Nigeria who lie outside the Wa-Zo-Bia triumvirate of peoples who still communicate chiefly through their native dialect has spawned a lot of quirksome cerebral characters in the lower Niger such as Jakumo and Aribisala who specialise in fantasmagorical deployment of verbose vocabulary, and I, Ibime, Amanyanabo of Wakirike Kingdom am proud to be even considered within such elevated company.

You guys are so funny.

Anyway, let the likes of Obahiagbon know that the essence of language is communication which is only achieved when you are understood by your audience. Simple.
