The fallacy of generalisation, I'd say. Not every Nigerian man disrespect the marriage institution. A lot of Nigerian men are actually faithful to their spouses. Having said that, African marriage is traditionally polygamous, and it is the white man that came here to demonize something that has worked favourably for both the African man and African woman. They tell us that our polygamous marriages are evil, but they want to impress it upon us to accept their own serial divorce and LGBTQ lifestyle as an ideal lifestyle. Mbanu! 5 Likes |

It is not about respecting the marriage.. having concubines is a culture for most men in Africa rich or poor. While it is also a culture for the wealthy in the western world. The word responsible is not synonymous to being loyal to one woman. But ability to have people you provide for financially and security wise. This is what makes you grow... Sorry to burst your bubbles this one man one wife is very alien to the culture Africans. However it is also a choice not to go polygamy. For equal right... no African man believes there is equal right In marriage. Our women will always be under our care no matter her level of exposure. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Our grandfathers still cherished our grandmothers hell I even know some grandmothers that still cooked his meal the way he wanted it. What they did behind closed doors was never spoken about openly except at night maybe. It starts with the sleeping arrangements and living space does it say togetherness or different lifestyles trying to force love or best love to death. Your best partner is your best friend anybody short of that is a literal pain in your neck and extremely envious You’ll be tempted Nigeria has millions of fine men some in hard Labour some just selling goods walking around but choosing to touch is discipline without it love is useless |

You are like me before I married. Used to be so annoyed how my married friends were always in competition with me for any available girls. I used to wonder and thinking I could never do that once God granted my prayers to be married. Soon, after marriage I realized how much of a scam the marriage institution itself is Although, I still hold the believe that our parents weren't like this during their time because for instance I've never for once found my dad in the kitchen cooking food for the family or watch him washing plates or do other chores like I now must or else I want to starve or keep buying food from canteen which is something I was not raised with. To top it all, to express your intention to have sex with your wife is now made to look like wanting to commit crime against her. Just everything you expected to enjoy from marriage is a lie once the wedding is over. If you don't want to divorce now your only option is to seek for sexual pleasure outside. In conclusion, having extramarital affairs is actually an act of safeguarding the institution of marriage rather than endangering it. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Unfortunately I don’t even have the stomach to ‘cheat ‘ whatever that means. However, that you hang out with a person every other night doesn’t mean you know the circumstances of his life and home. As someone has said before, without sidechicks, many homes would be broken, many marriages will be over either by divorce or homicides. Sometimes being at these bars and letting out steam with some of these sides is how some men are able to remain sane when they get to their homes. Lagos? Near Abuja? 😆😆😆😆 Anyways, all true. You see getting married as attaining respect and being responsible but do the opposite once in it, when in fact, many were actually responsible when single than when they went down the aisle. Confusion Reigns. 1 Like |

Marriage in Nigeria is just a Sham the way everything is in Nigeria. Most people get in Nigeria gey married because of societal pressure, show off, ego status etc. Personally I have always known Nigeria has the Most Useless He-Goats called Men on Planet Earth. Check my threads, I created one 4years ago i think. It's not a new thing to me. Na the reason why the country be as the way he be. You will hardly find a Nigerian Man doing well financially wey no dey fornicate. Even some as they poor and wretched reach, them still dey fornicate. Very useless set of things. 2 Likes 1 Share |
