Fintiri turns prayer warrior for Atiku

All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker in Adamawa State, Mr. Sonkuma Fwa, and his supporters estimated at about 15,000 have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing lack of fair play in their former party.

Adamawa APC has been in crisis since the nullification of Sen. Aishatu Binani’s governorship candidature.

In another development, to invoke divine intervention into Atiku Abubakar’s presidential bid under PDP, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri soaked himself in prayer that lasted over one hour asking God to give the former vice president the opportunity to rule the country.

The governor, who claimed that Atiku has the capability to change the country’s comatose economy to a vibrant one, urged Nigerians to vote for Atiku in the presidential poll.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, former chairman of Demsa Local Council, from where Fwa hails, Newton Ubeh, said they discovered that APC had nothing to offer Nigerians, apart from using the resource of the country to better their families.

Ubeh pointed out that they defected from APC when they assessed the capacity of the party’s presidential candidate and discovered that Atiku is what Nigeria needs in 2023.

He promised that more Nigerians would be leaving APC massively.

“Their deceit is now open to even children. The crisis in Adamawa APC is a confirmation that the house has fallen,” he said.

Fintiri, who was adorned in Mbula traditional attire, assured Adamawa people that his second term would bring total peace and development to the state.

He awarded the rehabilitation of Borrong road and the contractor mobilised to site with heavy-duty vehicles on the same day.
“What you see today is what will continue to happen, if you renew my mandate,” he said.

At the palace of Murum Mbula, Bentley Biyapo, Mboiman II, the monarch assured the Fintiri of his total support, adding that his vote and that of his community are for him in the general elections.
