GOVERNOR Vs GOVERNOR

Who to obey? Is state government in charge of currency?

Who licence banks to operate in Nigeria? CBN or state government?

Confused government

If you like shut all the banks, that's your business but we in CBN will not change our minds.
why would a reputable body as the CBN make a policy not well thought.
To be honest this new naira policy is anti people and came within a short time frame... also the new naira notes are not well printed. the new naira note is also scarce.

what would have been considered an alternative is POS and transfers. the two methods are not well mapped yet, to cater for the huge traffic it has been experiencing for a while now.

You are even worse than an illiterate, you can read but lack the abilities to comprehend.
You quoted an order of the Supreme Court yet you lack the brain to understand a line of it. But asking me to go check the meaning of Interim Government. Where do you see Interim Government anywhere in the order?
An illiterate like you should first understand some simple words of English before coming out to argue to avoid embarrassing yourself.

Now, go back to your dictionary and look up the meaning of;
1. "in the interim"
2." valid"
2. "Bound by"
Then you would understand that the order is binding on the federal government and the CBN until the case is finally determined by the Supreme Court itself.

You are very correct....the guy quoted something that doesn't support his claims...Interim Government doesn't even come to play here.

Tho I won't encourage your insulting approach

I am happy you are awake and still insultive

Synonyms for INTERIM below..

*temporary.
*provisional.
*transitional.
*short-term.
ad interim.
*alternate.
*provisionary.
*provisory.

The synonyms should educate you that the CBN doesn't answer to the supreme court rulings. Until the 15th or so for hearing of this their useless order then you will be more educated if the CBN really takes order from the supreme court.

Bye

Bro, you're actually wrong...tho he shouldn't have insulted you but get a lawyer to interpret it for you.

That stuff you quoted means that CBN is bound for the main time to obey the Supreme Court injunction and now its been extended till next week as well

These cowards should create a separate currency for their own states and stop threatening banks.

These clowns will leave Buhari the cause of the whole thing, only to attack banks.

He has no such power under the law to shut down a business entity that has not committed any offense. To me,the governor has only just made a political Statement to score political points.

God bless the Eleyi of Ogun State.

Fellow Nigerians, if you're also feeling the heat of this Useless Naira swap policy, kindly vote Tinubu.

He's the only candidate who's against the hell Emefiele is using Nigerian's eyes to see. Obi and Atikulooter are in support that you should suffer.

Only Tinubu will make sure there's enough new notes before the old one mopped up

Banks, like other registered entities at the Corporate Affairs Commission are regulated as Federal government entities, reason they hardly enjoy state declared public holidays. How a state government thinks it has rights over federal government creation baffles me. Meanwhile the matter is coming up tomorrow in court (in a few hours bayi)
State government can easily revoke their c of o

Please what did the governor threaten to do? We are not discussing who has a right to the statutory occupancy or you just want to carry out an exercise in academic foray? Yes the state government can and then will thereafter pay them compensation. Check the law to Confirm circumstances where state or federal government can revoke certificates and the consequences.

Shutting down a bank (as threatened by the governor) is different from revocation of CofO which itself cannot be done except certain criteria are met and compensation paid as appropriate. Read and understand before arguing do not just type what you heard others say as you do not even understand why they said what they said.
