All Mr President had to do if Emefiele had cajoled the president to make the speech was to say

Fellow Citizens I have had a lengthy discussion with the CBN governor.and it is decided to release the old #200 naira notes inorder to alleviate the shortage of the #200 naira notes in circulation.

Please avail yourselves with the ongoing exercises of the cash swap policy!

Finish not that statement written by emefiele for the president to read

You people are just wailing unnecessarily.

How and why is Hope Uzodinma the Governor of Imo State?

Why is Ahmed Lawan the APC senatorial candidate for Yobe North?

Where is Nnamdi Kanu?

How and why is Godswill Akpabio the APC senatorial candidate in Akwa Ibom?

When you're done answering those few questions, then let's discuss about the Supreme Court and the naira today.

And you can't see that you are proving my point? grin grin SMH

Where are you from given this ur misfirings!!
Is CBN greater than the Supreme Court?
Or is CBN operating in a silos without constitutional mandates?
These are the questions you need to verify properly before coming to misyarn grin
The CBN is only recognized as the Apex Bank not Apex country of its own. Despite that, they work simultaneously with the treasury for the the Fed government. CBN Gov. Seat is based on the executive appointment and the seat is subject to the FRN constitutions.
Go and fix your faculty and avoid misconception on this platform, ok grin
There is a reason all past and current CBN governor has background in finance, economics and not law. A supreme court judge in his highly decorated office will never understand the mathematics of managing a country's economy in a billion years. They should only concentrate on interpreting the law. The CBN governor is acting on his mandate and backed by the president. Let me remind you that Nigerians will hold the president and the CBN governor responsible for the economy and not a bunch of robed corrupt individuals. Finally l, if you think the decision lies with the supreme court, feel free to accept old 500 and 1000 naira note. Peace!

If this happens in the US, proceedings to impeach a president that defies the Supreme Court would be swift.

People don't seem to understand that in undermining the Supreme Court, this President has set a very dangerous precedent that goes to the very roots of the country's legitimacy as a constitutional entity. Other Presidents are likely to do same in future.

Once the Supreme Court is defenestrated, we are on the road reckless lawlessness.

Foreign investors will look at the disregard for even the Supreme Court & they will say no, thank you, we would rather invest in another country where Court rulings affecting our contractual and property rights will be respected.

What about the Supreme Court that has stoop so low and had made itself an object of mockery? It's the statutory right of the CBN to implement financial policies that can better the country's economy. Why would the Supreme Court make itself a tool used by selfish politicians to distort and thwart policies good for the country? Why is it this time that these politicians think they care and can speak for the same people they've mortgaged their futures through perpetual corruption?

Way to go, just what I said before,

The best way is to start with printing New 200note in abundance,

Then after election gradually start like after 3 months, start printing, that of 500note,

after another 3months, comes the 1k note, that how to sidelines the old notes, prevent this needless crisis brewing, And do a seemless Transactions from Old to new

First of all .is the cbn a part of the executive federal govt or is it part of the legislative arm.
The answer will tell you if the supreme court has jurisdiction to hear the case

I know I am.

I'm just sneering at the fact that you and your kind are only singling out this one instance to complain over, when some of us have been on this since 2016.

Buhari has disregarded the Judiciary from his very first day in office, and his supporters have cheered him on through the years. He succeeded in crippling the legislature and turning the lawmakers to "yes men" and his supporters relished in the euphoria, claiming the Bukola Saraki led legislature was a tool against good governance.

Now the man is brazenly rubbishing the sanctity of the Supreme Court because he knows the judges that sit therein, are merely commodities for the highest bidder. You cannot know a dog more than its owner. Even if the apex court overrides this his decision on the 22nd, Buhari will rubbish their judgement without uttering any words to that effect. It is that bad!

The Supreme Court has long traded her supremacy for financial gains and the executive arm of government has been the major beneficiary. So make them follow chop dust! There's a reason Walter Onnoghen was unceremoniously ousted as the CJN, and we're all witnesses to the reasons why.

Buhari has really stepped over the line and this can have serious repercussions. Allow him to get away with this is supporting the formation of a dictatorship. What next will he do?.... postpone or cancel the elections?

When Buhari used brute force to remove onoghen as the CJN most if not all the eternal hypocrites calling him out now hailed him then! You're clueless and know nothing.

CBN nor Emefiele are respondents in the Supreme Court case. FG is, and the Supreme court interim order was to FG, who can mandate CBN to do the same.

Emefiele can never be held in contempt.

If Buhari mandates Emefiele to extend the deadline and he refuses, Buhari is expected to fire his ass and if he fails to do so, he Buhari will be held in contempt not even the Emefiele that refused his boss' order.

In 1984 President Buhari was head of state of amiltary govt and head of council with executive powers to override everything else!
It is not the same thing now.for things that concern national security.yes the president has exclusive powers but when it now affects states wellbeing.the supreme court is permitted to interfere in the matter to find a reasonable solution(not to usurp one for the other)

if the supreme court becomes a dustbin were illicitly hoarded funds are used to purchase justices and pronounce irrelevant judgements to discredit and annihilate democracy, then the president should exercise his legitimate jurisdictions as a number one citizen of the country to overrule the money induced judges who are the number one enemy of the genuine Citizens of the state..
