Do you even sound intelligent at all? An apex court verdict or subordinate courts rulings shouldn’t be flouted. Is it because Buhari’s broadcast suits your fancy then democracy should be under threat? Some of you are double faced humans who speak from both sides of your mouth.
Tell that to Tinubu, Ganduje and Atiku who have stolen billions of Naira and cannot swap them at the banks

Yeye supreme court wey dey put their judgement for sale. Who even take them serious anymore?

Each time I hear supreme court, what I see is Imo state governor, Lawal and Akpabio.

The above is the truth of the matter, when the supreme court has made their judgement for the highest bidder. Look at the above instances, the INEC came tender result, then, someone who is not officially recognised by law in election matter, tender other one, which is full of errors, that even if INEC itself tender it, it cannot stand in legal eye, but yet they upturned the election base on this. On that of SP, the person who did not contest the primary was declared winner, leaving the one that contested and won. INEC also claim they did not supervise the primary that SP claim he won, and any primary not supervised by them is not according to law but yet, it judge against this law. Even this naira issue, its not a constitutional matter according to legal experts, but policy issue, which does not need to start from supreme court, but high court, yet they entertained it as if they don't know where the suit should originate. All this make joke of their judgement, this was what former Chief justice Nigeria has reduced the judiciary to and the present one is following the suit. For their judgment to be respected by both executive and ordinary citizens, it must be based purely on legal perspective not on highest bidder, or are they not aware that IMO governor was tagged supreme governor.

THIS SAN IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHY NIGERIA HAS FAILED. He is supposed to know better as a lawyer

I am not a Buhari supporter but he fooled everyone. His speech was nonsense

1. The CBN said that all old notes remain legal tender
2. Buhari speech said old N200 remain legal tender in line with CBN decision. HE NEVER said that the other old notes are NOT legal tender. He never mentioned the other old notes.
3. So the SAN is not worth his title with the conclusion he made. He should hand it back with a note saying I am too fool fool to be a SAN
4. Buhari has NOT disobeyed the court order. He has even agreed with it

Extract from Buhari speech

16. To further ease the supply pressures particularly to our citizens, I have given approval to the CBN that the old N200 bank notes be released back into circulation and that it should also be allowed to circulate as legal tender with the new N200, N500, and N1000 banknotes for 60 days from February 10, 2023 to April 10 2023 when the old N200 notes ceases to be legal tender.

17.In line with Section 20(3) of the CBN Act 2007, all existing old N1000 and N500 notes remain redeemable at the CBN and designated points

It's funny how some people have suddenly become supporters of Buhari over night ! It's even more appalling to know that these are the same people calling on the United Nations,Amnesty International, United States,Israel etc to come and 'arrest' Buhari for disobeying the Supreme Court ruling that granted freedom to Nnamdi Kanu ! Mr Buhari's broadcast this morning is nothing but the very height of executive rascality and a blatant disrespect for the rule of law.. How dare Mr Buhari,I mean from where did he derive such power to so disrespectfully overrule the Supreme Court 's injunction on a case that's still pending in court ?!

Buhari and Emefiele do not have the interests of ordinary Nigerians at hearts regarding the current cashless and currency redesign policy;rather,it is a tool employed to cause political turmoil and unrest across the country. This nonsense the duo of Buhari and Emefiele are doing is never going to work and they know it ! They are only pushing Nigeria to a state of anarchy; already lives are being lost across the count

Why Buhari is pushing Nigeria towards the path of a major crisis, one that's capable of burning this country down, should be a major concern to all well meaning Nigerians

Life na turn by turn. grin

When his disregard of court orders were in your favor you were happy those on the other side why complaining.

Now that his contempt of the supreme Court is not in your favour you are sad and wailing and those that it is in their favour are singing as he dey pain you e dey sweet us. grin

Na so life be bro. Go be sad and frustrated alone you will get over it don't worry grin

Redemption Camp.

No Bank is paying. No money in ATM. People are restricted outside the Banking Hall.

To sabotage the situation MTN with estimated over Forty Million users is not working. This shows that MTN network is indirectly being monitored and use to frustrate people to prevent intra and inter communities and States communication.

Northern Elders Forum where Buhari was their former President said the North still has four years to spend. Ango Abdulahi their leader spoke yesterday, Buhari their past president spoke today as the nation's president.
Obasanjo is a disaster to the Yorubas.

Buhari said Naira Redesign has curbed vote buying when election has not taken place which means in 2015 and 2019 he won through vote buying. Since he was a poor man in 2014/2015, some people might have bought those votes for him. In 2019 he bought the votes himself.

We shall see how it is going to end.

MTN network is down again at Redemption camp and environment just as it happened on Tuesday to complement the frustrations from Banks. It is okay. This is a pure sabotage.

If this happens in the US, proceedings to impeach a president that defies the Supreme Court would be swift.

People don't seem to understand that in undermining the Supreme Court, this President has set a very dangerous precedent that goes to the very roots of the country's legitimacy as a constitutional entity. Other Presidents are likely to do same in future.

Once the Supreme Court is defenestrated, we are on the road reckless lawlessness.

Foreign investors will look at the disregard for even the Supreme Court & say to themselves, Nigeria?, no, thank you, we would rather invest in another country where Court rulings affecting our contractual and property rights will be respected.

Oga sir! Which supreme court?

The one that gives judgements on technicalities rather than merits of a case?

The one that dispenses injunctions and judgements like ATM machines to the highest bidder?

The supreme court that would miraculously transfer 4th position to 1st first position.

See, we have no judiciary in Nigeria.
We only have a judiciary for the rich and the richest. Judiciary corruption in this country is massive.

Let Buhari and the Supreme court sort themselves out..

You should be more interested in sanitizing out judiciary from criminal judges and making it the last hope of the common man, rather than all this beer parlour crab you are trying to sell to urchins.

I wouldn't say the CBN governor or president is greater, but I'd like to point out that the CBN governor is on his mandate and hasn't contravened any statute or constitutional law. The supreme court didn't say it's illegal, they are merely debating on the deadline. How can you set a deadline for something someone else has to be accountable for?

Buhari once said that the rule of law is subject to national security.. I agree with that wholeheartedly, this is a matter of national security, the supreme court can take a back seat

What's National security? What is rule of law? What's Supreme Court?
How can there be National security without Supreme Court and Rule of Law?
You're have been brainwashed and misled, I see!
Don't you know that the Supreme Court is the greatest in any country. In a sane country if President disobey the ruling of Supreme Court that would be his/her sure impeachment consequently.

Don't you know this a historic disgrace and awkwardness to a country that disobey her Supreme Court and still claim to be Democratic internationally. This kind of lawlessness to the sanctity of the Judiciary has killed the interest of prospective foreign investors in Nigeria already even other foreign relationships.

The CBN governor and the President are clearly above the supreme court as their actions in the last few days have shown.

is it not these judges that some state governors are buying suvs for and building duplexes for with co of o given to them?

Methinks dem judges have sold their birthright.

Let's be practical, Russia can be said to be a developed country. Can the supreme court in Russia order Putin to withdraw from Ukraine. You people don't understand there is a separation of power, the Legislature, Executive and judiciary with judiciary being the least. Each arm is independent with its own power as enshrined in the constitution.

Since you believe the supreme court is everything, can the supreme court give order to Nigeria military or cancel and order given to the military by the president?

Can the supreme court declare a state of emergency or rule against such if declared by the president?

There are hundreds and one cases the Supreme court can't interfere, why can't they pass a judgment to reduce dollar rate to Naira? Or order the federal government to reopen the borders?

The supreme court will only interpret the law and it ends at that, they are not top of the chain as you erroneously believe.
