The policy is bad and illogical. People are suffering because there's no money, they have to pay someone to get there own money. Buisnesses are crumbling and economy is coming to a halt and you said it's good. Where in the world have you heard any govt punishing their whole population just because someone thought it will affect some candidates?
You seriously think that this will affect Tinubu? If Tinubu really needs to change billions to win election, then he will get them change without lifting a finger.

This policy will only make it easier and cheaper to buy votes now. Votes that were bought for 3k before will now be bought for 1k. Just wait and see.

the policy isn't to affect tinubu it is for vote buyers abd terrorists.

as for the suffering they are making the old 200 available for use.

No one needs high denomination notes in large amounts today, several electronic channels exist to ensure bulk transactions are seamless.
Get a bank app, use the USSD service or use your atm cards, & for really large and sensitive transactions you simply walk into the bank and complete the very readily accessible transfer forms.

The CBN policy is the best thing that has ever happened to the Nigerian economy unless you are involved in illicit activity Or your sources of funds is illegal.
God bless president Buhari, God bless Emefiele, God bless Nigeria

El Rufai and co should stop crying

Not electricity, not refineries, not education, not a governor, not a scientist, not a policy,

Nothing.

18. There is no reason why the old notes and the new notes should not coexist until the old notes are gradually withdrawn over the years as is done in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and other countries. It is unfortunate that in implementing this policy, Nigeria is departing from global best practise, without any compelling justification. The Kaduna State Government did all these, not in opposition to any person or authority, but because we stand with our people and their interests.
And this, ladies and gents, is the nitty gritty of this whole shitshow. I am beyond speechless

I read every word. In summary;

El Rufai is pretending that Buhari is a fool who has been deceived for many months and is still being coerced today to disregard the Supreme Court’s order.

If you ask me I believe, El Rufai and Buhari have completely fallen out over this issue but El Rufai knows he doesn’t have the political might to be seen as criticising Buhari.

Trouble in paradise

You really read the write-up

I'm surprised El-Rufai is making sound as if Buhari is a fool that does not know what he is doing. See the way it seems Buhari just moved to any direction he is pushed to

If I were Buhari, I'll personally take offence at this speech because it made it sound as if I am an invalid, who can't even think for himself

LMAO. This is how we identify people who love to bring a plague. They have been murdering his people in the southern part of the state for YEARS and he has been quiet, all of a sudden he becomes an activist because of naira policy that will affect his newfound boss, Tinubu.
Where was this energy when people were being gruesomely murdered?

The war we envisaged has started. Buhari will understand who Jagaban really is. No matter what Tinubu will win. We won’t let the 30 years histories repeat itself again.

Buhari is known for flagrantly disobeying court orders. He’s not known to be proactive to issues suddenly he’s being proactive in a wrong way. You destroyed the economy and education of a country but you are here forming James Bond.

You claimed new naira policy will curb vote buying. But we can say that You are not a product of vote buying yet you failed woefully in almost all but for infrastructures. We should have let Jonathan that bought votes to win. Could have been better, maybe.

People are suffering. Banks even interrupted their USSDs and apps to alter transactions.

We are never animals. You are destroying a party that brought you in. You can’t make people hungry and not expect them not to repel.

You must be so wise to think that hungry people won’t collect money to vote for people.
Even if they are paid in coins on election days they will collect it and vote for them.

You just made Tinubu earn a lot of sympathy votes. It is discussed in every corners right now on how you are trying to stop a Yoruba man from getting to the Villa same way your cronies like Babangida, Abacha a did. It will not happen. This plot of dead on arrival-DOD

Buhari will fail on this. Other APC states governors will pronounce same in their states and let’s see if Buhari is ready to announce states of emergency on the states and date the consequences. He’s disobeying the court ruling using a veto power. But the el Rufai is acting within the constitutional placements.

All the uneducated fools quoting me should stop.

You mean the same bank apps that messed themselves, not me up today and left me unable to buy anything because of their shitty services and terrible network connection? The same banking app that has succeeded in debiting my mum's 42k for almost two weeks without reversal?

Keep supporting rubbish, una hear? Hand go reach everybody. The rush is completely illogical and insensitive because I have never seen or heard of a situation where currency of a country is swapped in 3months. To make it worse, adequate provisions have not been made to implement the swap smoothly. Developed nations with better technology and infrastructure didn't do this, so it is Nigeria and her ancestral backwardness that will set the precedent?

Make una continue to dey support rubbish. You will all get your just desserts
