The question is what happened to the 94 millions that registered to vote?

Whatever we are practising in Nigeria is not democracy, if 94 million are registered to vote and 21 million are counted

They didn't come out to vote simple!! I have a few friends with cards that didn't vote because none of the three made sense to them

AND SO??

17 Million Nigerians voted against Atiku and PDP with Adamawa flavor
18 Million Nigerians voted against Obi and PDP Lite with Anambra flavor

And DON'T forget that Tinubu got at least 1 in 4 votes (25%) in a good 30 states of the Federation. The highest among all the contestants!

Sore losers everywhere that can't accept CLEAR defeat.

Here is a thought. 13.1 million people did not vote for APC, out of the 21 m who did vote.

If those 13.1 million people had voted for one party, APC would have been voted out. But because they voted for 3 different parties, the votes got divided, and APC won the election.

The truth is, APC lost this election. Most Nigerians did not vote for them, nor do they like them. But they won because Atiku and Peter Obi and Kwankwaso and Wike could not at the very least compromise with each other.

That is the sad cold truth. A disunited opposition loses the election.

Like I said, APC did not win this election, the opposition lost it.

This very tinubu that lagosians wanted to beat during endsars is now our president.

The coming years will be a complete show of shame.
Don't expect anything good in the next 4yrs. That's one way to leave at peace with yourselves.
This yoruba people what I have to tell you people is that owo massacre na child's play.
You people will see the real terrorism now.
I felt pity for the owo victims because there were innocent human beings and Christians.
But from now henceforth I no dey pity Una again. Una go die like right.

You voted tinubu not because he is competent healthy or less corrupt but because he's a Yoruba man

That's exactly how it works. Thanks for this.

Elections does not work like that.

Would those people have voted for Atiku in the South?

Would they have voted Obi in the North?

Some people will rather vote Tinubu than Atiku but will voted Obi

Some will rather vote Tinubu than Obi but voted Atiku

It's more complex than That though. The churches that helped Obi get those votes wouldn't have been able to bamboozle their members into voting Atiku. You will see this in the governorship. You will see how poorly the LP will perform because pastors will not be able to malign candidates like Sanwolu. They won't be able to convince anyone that they're bringing islamization
Infact, the turn out will be low. The results announced will have effect on next Saturday's election. Turn out will be very low. Many electorate believed that the results of last Saturday's election isn't a true reflection of how people voted

Thank you for articulating what all the sore losers crying about "rigging" and "fraud" seem incapable of grasping. The prevailing poor economic and security conditions were the ideal backdrop for an opposition victory, and had there been a united opposition, the APC would have deservedly lost in a landslide, but the combination of Atiku's greed, Obi's opportunistic party-hopping and Kwankwaso's vanity ensured that the overwhelming opposition to continued APC rule was dissipated in too many directions. There is no need to bring "rigging" or "fraud" in to explain anything we're seeing.

The great irony is that many people on this very site were warning last year that Obi's third-party candidacy was actually working towards a Tinubu victory, the very outcome the most zealous of the Obidients hated and feared the most. This is indeed what occurred, as Obi's victory robbed the PDP of all those SS and SE votes they used to be able to count on. This is what comes of runaway tribalism masquerading as championing "youth" (by a 62-year old) and "change" (by a man who was the PDP's VP candidate just 4 years ago). Now all the obsessive Tinubu-bashers on here will have to live with the fact that their fanatical hatred born of tribalism actually worked in his favor ...

The mistake is when Nigerians think votes count. Spoiler it doesn't, except maybe Objs second term election, we are yet to have credible elections in Nigeria
If we the citizens don't do something about it, then our votes will never count. That's the grudge we're having now. That was the essence of the electoral amended act And introduction of online uploads. We can't just keep quiet And accept that votes don't count, NO.

Same thing I said earlier

God knows why obi did not try and make a deal with atiku

I know this might defeat the purpose of him being a honest man not cutting deals like most politicians do but at least you get there first and fix this country

This country is a big mess

Nigeria politics is simply Party politics

Even though I wanted obi to win so badly please God give Tinubu the spirit to fix this country

I wonder why someone who saw shege between 2015-2023 under an APC GOVT still went to the ballpt box and still thumbprinted and voted the same APC again

The level of illiteracy in Nigeria doesn't help either

We are in the 21st century and still no 24/7 electricity

Anyway election has finished time to continue to build what's left of the country

God help tinubu cos if this man makes Nigeria worse than it is right now then its extremely sad cos it was totally unavoidable

He was dishonest when he was Atiku's running mate last election abi? But he became honest when he moved to LP cos he knew he will not win the presidential ticket in PDP and may not even be the VP. Una funny die!

In other words, if PDP had its house in order, then Obi and Kwakwanso could still have been in PDP alongside the G5 rebel governors. Perhaps the outcome of he election would ga e been different.
Well their loss is Tinubu's gain
