To gain admission into a university you must have at least 5 credits in five subjects with math and english.
Saying tinubu won the election withoue 25% in fct means you are saying you just need 5credits wthout maths and english to gain admission.
Stop twisting things.

It's "including English and Maths" not "with English and Maths".

But it's crystal clear that the framers of the Constitution had in mind that because Abuja is the federal capital territory that hosts Nigerians from the 36 states, anybody who is to preside over Nigeria and live in Abuja must win at least 25% of votes in Abuja to be acceptable to Abuja of mixed ethnic groups as residents.

What he said is 100% wrong.
Very simple statement from the authors of the document called Nigeria constitution.
The meaning of 36 states and the fct in the constitution is 37.
Fct in this regard is not equivalent to a state.
Simple and straightforward.
Judgement has been given on this matter by supreme Court of Nigeria long time ago.

People are just making noise where there is nothing to worry about.
The noise about 36 states and the fct has been settled more than 10 years ago by the supreme Court.
However, if anyone wants to try the case again, the supreme Court will respond accordingly.

Throwback:
"And" that exist without a comma?

The law states that "25% in 2/3 of the 36 States of the federation and Abuja,..."

Meaning 37 possible sources from which 25% can be obtained.

2/3 of 37 is 25 (to make it a whole)

Tinubu already secured 25% in 28 states.

So no case here at all.

Your interpretation would require the use of the term “including” the FCT…

In contrast, Section 134(1) could not be clearer in its employment of the conjunctive term “and” (aka “plus” or “in addition”).

Having said that, the reality is the Supreme Court can literally reach ANY decision it pleases.
