I was shocked when Yakubu declared Tinubu the winner instead of declaring the election inconclusive angry

Then does the statement means James and his wife will produce at least 5 persons each (10+) or both of them will produce at least 5 persons?

Tinubu has relocated to Defence house in Maitama, Abuja. With plenty security details.

Based on the interpretation of Section 133(b) of the 1999 Constitution as amended, a presidential candidate cannot be declared the winner of the presidential election if he or she fails to win the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The section requires that a presidential candidate must have not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all states in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The word "and" in the section is interpreted as conjunctive, meaning that it requires the fulfillment of all the conditions that it joins together. Therefore, winning the FCT is a necessary requirement for a presidential candidate to be declared the winner of the election.

The FCT is considered a state under Section 299 of the 1999 Constitution as amended, and the provisions of the Constitution apply to it as if it were one of the states of the Federation. Therefore, winning the FCT is essential for a presidential candidate to meet the constitutional requirements for the office of the president.

If a presidential candidate fails to win the FCT, the only available path for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to call for a fresh nomination, according to Section 133(b) of the Constitution.

These people are daft and gullible !
They expected Peter Obi to win in the North because he won 98% in Enugu
Thus the reason most of their leaders did not support Obi
Did Obi win in Yorubaland too

Saying tinubu won the election withoue 25% in fct means you are saying you just need 5credits wthout maths and english to gain admission.
You are 100% correct That is just the simple logic.
Time will tell.

The Olodo SAN. How did this Ozoani become a SAN?

When did 2/3 of 36 states and the FCT become you must win the FCT outright?

I'm not interested in those below-standard elections but the SAN or the reporter are labouring 'disjunctively'. The conjunction 'and' simply means 'plus'. If Abuja is treated as a state then we have 36 states plus one state = 37 states. Did Tinubu lawfully get the required ¼ of votes lawfully cast and lawfully recorded in ⅔ of the 37 states? That is what should be taken to court, please.

The present president didn't win FCT in 2019.

He doesn't need to win, but he had at least 25% in FCT as stipulated

Divide my property equally between mY four sons AND my one daughter

The first person to have started breaking electoral laws was buhari when he showed publicly his vote what then do you now expect? make we forget Nigeria matter. Abi is it not the same electoral laws that states that for a candidate to be declared winner he must have won 2/3 of the vote cast across the 36 states and 25% in the fct what then happens to winning 25% in FCT

But the SAN will tell you that AND means equally between the sons on the one hand and the daughter on the other.

In our culture people would have no problem with that conclusion if it was four daughters and one son.

Throwback:

"And" that exist without a comma?

The law states that "25% in 2/3 of the 36 States of the federation and Abuja,..."

Meaning 37 possible sources from which 25% can be obtained.

2/3 of 37 is 25 (to make it a whole)

Tinubu already secured 25% in 28 states.

So no case here at all.
If Abuja was an ordinary state, why give it a special mention?!
The clause should be expunged since it is not useful.

Abuja is regarded as a state in the law but "and" is conjucive. Therefore 25% is compulsory in " Abuja state"

If Abuja is regarded as a state, then it will be counted amongst the state won or lost but not as a compulsory
