arantess: Okonjo iweala resigned when she saw they wanted to use her, she refused and she was then removed as a Minister of Finance. Emefiele had an option. He's also wicked who allowed himself to be used for wicked purposes .... He is the fool and he should have left when the ovation was loudest but now he has shown himself as a wicked man that he is. Denying citizens of their rights to use their property as they see fit... A 60+ woman slumped and died when she was given only 2k after queuing for several hours 2 Likes |

zeyt: Exactly my thoughts. Also those hailing this very stupid, obnoxious and ridiculous interference judgment, should be ready to approach the supreme court for help, when they are kidnapped for cash ransom. All the various ways of fighting and preventing crimes, are supposed to be allowed for deployment, including monetary and military policies and intelligence. 1 Like |

Re: Naira Redesign: Banks’ Cash Withdrawal Limit Is Illegal – Supreme Court by lexy2014: 4:27am On Mar 04, 2023 |
MomohMrMoore: The supreme court is under the judiciary which is an arm or organ of government. so yes, it is government. except you didnt read the judgement and why it was given, then theres a problem. if you didnt understand a thing that was said, why not ask questions for better understanding of the role of the judiciary in the govt? are there no agencies responsible for curbing kidnapping, banditry, corruption etc.? are they doing their jobs? when did it become the job of CBN to curb kidnapping, banditry, corruption etc.? is it by creating naira scarcity and putting nigerians in untold hardship that you curb kidnapping, banditry, corruption etc.? are the people who are involved in corruption, kidnapping, banditry etc ghosts? does the government not know them? what happened to BVN and NIN? i thought the same government told us it was meant to curb kidnapping, banditry, corruption, 419 etc.? |

Re: Naira Redesign: Banks’ Cash Withdrawal Limit Is Illegal – Supreme Court by Thegamingorca(m): 4:46am On Mar 04, 2023 |
lexy2014: The banks where mandated by the CBN not to collect large sums of money pending the April deadline for the mop up of old circulating currency in a bid to promote a cashless economy. The CBN governor decided this policy will help resolve the large amount of money out there in the respective politicians vaults that are being hoarded and unaccounted for. So far so good a large sum of that money in circulation has been recovered. However, there still remains that being hoarded by the politicians for whatsoever reason. The apex bank since the expiration of the grace period that the commercial banks were allowed to also mop up funds, mandated that anyone remitting money, ought to do so with a reason or questionable source of that money or risk prosecution by security agencies. That's what this greedy politicians are worried about. In other words they want the commercial banks to continue to mop up cash and continue to re-exchange the ones in their vaults with the new notes being printed. All politicians involved in that law suit are thieves who leech on their ppl and have gained illegally acquired assets and wealth 1 Like |

arantess: why shouldnt he be blamed? he is the CBN governor except you dont realise what that office entails. he has as much blame as the president. he brought the proposal to the president. also, it is he who is responsible for the implementation of any monetary policy including this so called naira redesign policy which has turned out to be a disaster 1 Like |

[quote author=Karlifate post=121451392]Emefiele is in trouble. The cabals using him, will dump him sooner or later, when they're done with him. By then, he'll become irrelevant, even in his own home. Antecedents don't lie. [/quot It buhari that took the decision not the cbn governor. |
