Just because you guys lose in the just concluded election shouldn't mean you should be wishing evil to the country.

Who doesn't know Nigeria is fast collapsing. A country where parents can no longer afford nutritious food like eggs, milk, Titus fish, beverages such as maltina, Milo etc for the physical and mental growth of the leaders of tomorrow? And some people are here arguing that everything is alright. One is even blind to see that OP is saying the obvious and said he was wishing the country evil. If Helium or whatever his name gets the opportunity to travel out of Nigeria to a better country, he would grab it without asking any questions

Nigeria is a failing state inching closer to a failed state. there is something Nigeria has in common with countries like Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Pakistan, haiti, Sudan etc. if you build a system that rewards those that cut corners and sharp practices and punish honest, productive people this would be the outcome. the intelligent ones would be snatched by countries who understand thier importance in increasing thier country productivity.

you need to have a highly skilled population with access to capital. thier activities generate revenues to government who in turn invest this money in infrastructure that would further increase productivity. train the future generations whose taxes will sustain the old generation when they retire and keep society going. bottom line is government needs to invest in it people

Some suggestions to the new administration

1. aggressively tackle illiteracy and out of school children problem by heavily investing in Education

2. reduce influence of money in politics I.e. politics should be for service and not the most lucrative industry. I would suggest reducing political parties to 3 one would be center right another center left and the last center. government should fund them based on how much dues they get from their members and ensure that every Nigeria must contribute a minimum amount to at least one of this party

3. build a merit and knowledge based society

4. remove petrol and foreign exchange subsidies and move them to public transportation, housing and agricultural subsidies.

@OP.

I totally agree with you and have argued same here a million times.

The solution, to forestall the inevitable collapse and total ruination of Nigeria, is urgent, holistic and all-encompassing reforms from top to bottom of our governance and socio-economic structure.

These reforms will be vehemently resisted by very powerful anti-progress forces. That much is predictable because they have profited for long from the rot in the system that makes Nigeria an elitist, nepotistic, crony-empowering and patronage fraud of a nation where it is not the most meritoriously gifted who get the chance to work for and transform our nation.

This is why today is the time, not next month or next year, for Nigerians to put sentiments aside to support the President whose history, achievement, verified beliefs, consistent political ideology, leadership capacity, talent, vision and ability to walk the walk shows he is the right and only man for the job.

That man is Bola Ahmed Tinubu. 100%. The fact that Tinubu, above all others, has always sought to develop any geographical space (Lagos) or entity (ACN, APC etal) he is affiliated with through self-help, innovation and innate endowment alone shows he is the only round peg in round hole fit to lead Nigeria at this critical junction.

Those proven and historically verified facts/reality about Tinubu, that no other leadership candidate possesses , means he is the right man for the job of rescuing a nation now totally stagnant because most Nigerians have long lost the talent to identify and use what they have to get what they need.

In fact virtually all Nigerian leaders, bar a few like Tinubu, lost that innovative and 'looking-inward' ability the day we discovered oil in commercial quantity in the SS region.

In fact global economic experts and analysts point to one main issue responsible for the ruination of Nigeria from the Sixties.

Our inability to innovatively and responsibly diversify our economy away from crippling and self-destructive dependence on crude oil earnings.

If anyone can, with statistically verifiable argument and no "dem say dem say" propaganda or empty hype, factually show me a leader since 1999, when our current democracy began, who has diversified and grown the economy, or even entity/business/organization or parastatals they have led even 10% as successfully as Tinubu has done with Lagos then I will abandon Tinubu to pledge 100% support for that leader be it Obi, Atiku, Kwankwaso, Sowore or anyone else.

Nigerians are a very sentimental people but sentiments will never get us far as a nation. Time to open our eyes, shun bias and emotions/sentiments, to see and accept what is obvious

Bro, no disrespect but think of what you have just said and how senseless it sounds.

You are asking a political leader about businesses he has set up when said leader has been in government, even before 1999, as a Senator and then Governor, post 1999, with a very lengthy and distinguished African record of success as an outstanding leader and politician that is beyond reproach.

Your comment is same as asking Mike Tyson, after he had become the youngest and most feared heavyweight in boxing history, after he has won the greatest prize in boxing, to show you he ever trained in a boxing gym !!!

No better CV to lead Nigeria than that Tinubu has gained leading NADECO, Lagos, ACN and then APC.

I think it is fairly obvious you are an Obi fan and thus an automatic hater and detractors of Tinubu.

You people have no chills and no joy except when praising the mediocre Obi as the only messiah who can save Nigeria or we all perish. You can never be made to see sense or accept statistical and factual reality.

Reasonable people, able to rise above ethnic and sectional. Affiliations, still always defer to truth and reality.

As an example, look what Tinubu made of ACN and APC. Tinubu created ACN. Before that he was the only opposition SW governors in 1999 to the then unstoppable PDP.

ACN went on to became the Nigerian official opposition Party to PDP with five out of six Governors in the SW by 2013.

That is a hell of a spectacular achievement, given the enemies Tinubu faced to succeed, even as you hateful and clannish Obidient cannot see so to admit Tinubu's god-given abilities are far beyond your messiah's level.

Even more spectacular is the sagacity and political dexterity Tinubu used to create APC and then make her the Nigerian ruling Party when PDP had bragged she would be in power for 60 years.

Now tell us what Obi made of APGA and PDP where he could not even distinguish himself amongst political gladiators let alone lead them as Tinubu has done his entire political life and everywhere he has led. The man is a leader of leaders and a man who gets things done. Period.

To a reasonable and principled man of integrity, able to set bias aside, it is obvious who the great leader is and it is crystal clear who Nigeria needs as President.

Enjoy your thread because talking to an Obi fan continously, in the belief they can see what is so apparent, is like banging one's head against the wall.
