Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi endorsed Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party governorship candidate for Lagos State, IGBERETV reports.

Peter Obi made the endorsement while he was interviewed on Arise TV today.

“The labour party candidate for Lagos remains the best candidate… I can tell you he’s a fantastic guy”, Obi said during the interview.

In reply to a question about Gbadebo's age and lack of experience in Nigerian politics and public service, the following conversation ensued between Arise TV's Rufai and Obi.

Rufai: They say GRV doesn’t have experience.

Obi: Yes. He doesn’t have experience in corruption.

Obi said that politics is a collaboration between the young and the old, and that there were many who came into governance without having any experience, and that one could learn to serve the people while doing his job. He concluded by saying, “The job of a leader is always listening and learning.”

Chai, Obi is really full of wisdom.

Most experienced Nigeria politicians experience is how to loot, how to get kick backs and how to launder their stolen money out of Nigeria. Although GRV may not be anything different if he eventually wins but one thing for sure is that anybody who won the popular votes of youths under this ELUU P waves would not want to be in the bad books of the youths.

Honestly ELUU P is the way to go if we want progress in this country.

How many of your experienced politicians have managed this your much talked about “lagos state funds” the way it ought to be managed? I’m not only referring to the governor. From every political appointee at the state level down to democratically elected, sorry selected Chairmen of LGAs. Remember the argument has always been that experienced hands are selected to work with the governor.

How does it correlate?

The resources/revenue under the control of Lagos is so enormous yet, there isn't real growth let alone development due to corruption and bad leadership thus, GRV fits because he isn't experienced in corruption.

As for the position of the governor, the experience one needs is leadership experience which GRV possesses. Every other governors were not governors in training as there is nothing as such and despite their years of service in the Civil Service, it never translated to good governance due to their level of corruption and the God fathers and associates they had to please just to remain in power.

In conclusion, if Sanwoolu had done great in the last 4 years, we wouldn't see him so desperate to the point of becoming a church greeter and at worst, compromising standards. For the latter, why release vehicles that were impounded for driving on one way just to win election? This for me, is a NO and a sign of someone who isn't fit as he is willing to sacrifice lives for his selfish ambition.

We all voted for obi during the presidential election but things have changed now. Don't cause problem for lagosians because of your greediness. Leave Yoruba people alone and stop seeing them as a weak. Yoruba are good people but some unscrupulous element want to take them for a fool.
