Why would the authorities abandon a particular set of soldiers fighting insurgency for a very long time while others are busy intimidating civilians in the street? That's not fair.

They should be rotating them.....Nobody dey happy to suffer.

"a yet-to-be identified soldier fighting Boko Haram insurgents in the North-East opened fire on his colleague and killed him.

The deceased soldier was identified as Private Diko".

They've identified the deceased but couldnt identify the culprit who is still alive. Nigeria and sentiments

RIP soldier.

This is what those who adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system in the
12 northern Nigeria states brought to Nigerians

Boko Haram says that it's fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal justice system. The justice system includes stoning women to death for adultery, stoning blasphemers to death, cutting out the hands of thieves, among other moribund punishment systems.

All numerous deaths were due to frustration , maltreatment from their bosses, staying too long at their Post, not getting enough for risking their life for their country. Above all , some tribes did not like the way other tribes were killing their tribes that were in Boko Haram insurgent, because they have soft spot for their tribes. Also ,their bosses at the war front did not provide adequate welfare for them at the war front instead diverting money meant for the soldiers for themselves.

I think this is one of the consequence of Gen-Z factor manifesting in the Military. Most of them don't know how to handle pressure and crack at the slightest push. If you were not born rugged, brought up with a touch of ruggedness and finesse, the military is not for you.
Just jejely go to school and joing the Private/corporate sector where you can challenge your superior and quit without notice because even Nigerian Public Sector will frustrate you if you cannot handle pressure. Peace

Lance Corporal Nwobodo Chinoso, shot dead the Commander of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Rabah in Sokoto State, Lt. Sam Oladapo.

THE SAME PERSON

Chinoso also shot the FOB Rabah Command Sergeant Major (CSM), Sgt. Iliyasu Inusa, and another private soldier, Attahiru Mohammed, after he had killed Oladapo.

Imaging an igbo Lance corporal Nwobodo shot OLADAPO a yourba guy AND LATER shot an Hausa man Attahiru Mohammed.

proper investigation pls.

Rest in peace gallant Soldiers.

Re: Nigerian Soldier Kills Private Diko, His Colleague, In Borno State by king1250: 3:57am On Mar 14, 2023
Some of the soldiers have in the past complained about poor welfare, overstaying in the region and abysmal treatment by the military hierarchy.

They said they were battling with depression and post-traumatic disorder because the authorities refused to carry out a rotation

What else do govt want to hear.
You sent someone to fight insurgency and you can't feed or pay him well while those in CBN, nnpc, firs, dpr etc are building mansions and living luxury and you can't give 3sqr meal to someone risking his life inside bush fighting for you, your children and unburn..
