I stand with real Nigerians who respect other people land, culture and norms unlike you who is Biafra today Nigeria tomorrow, Israeli tomorrow and Uganda the next day. Oh sorry you will call the Army headed by SE ba? Oh boy if you know how the milliary are angry with the SE you won't even say such. |

God1000: Nigerians didn't vote along ethnic lines this time, everyone came together to vote for LP, even the Yorubas voted for Labour party, but the election was rigged, Nigerians moved beyond ethnic and religious differences and did the right thing in the last election, it's just unfortunate that the election was rigged. Hopefully we'll get our mandate back in court. 1 Like 1 Share |

thesicilian: You see the problem? Which foreign land are you referring to? Is Lagos a foreign land to an Igbo/Hausa man? Lagos is in Nigeria, Igbos/Hausas are Nigerians, the Igbos/Hausas in Lagos are not in a foreign land, they are in their home country. You that is talking are you from Lagos or from Ekiti ? |

rummmy: Ojukwu won’t feel this way. You know why? Benjamin Adekunle, the scorpion & his battalion squad chased biafra soldiers together with Ojukwu in SE. Imagine a Yoruba man chasing Ojukwu on it’s on land. A while so call Biafra war lord.. Imagine a Yoruba man coming to your land. Only for your so call warlords to start running away right from their secure houses.. Ojukwu had to apply quadratic formula by dressing like a woman .. If a Yoruba man can come to your land to make all that happen, imagine what he can do to you on his own land.. Don’t mess with what you do not NO! |

Jemex003:mumu why do you have to wait till after election. Before election you didn't do shit, during election you ain't doing shit either. Its after election that you plan to do bullshit. Bro you are a coward. After election now you procrastinate it to next 4 years. Bro grow some balls. If you can't stand up to be counted, it's good for you to lie down and be mounted. |

Hence when he was fraudulently declared Presidential winner, there were wild cat jubilations and clinking of glasses in Columbia. What does that portray |

leanonme82: You see the problem? Your identity has NOTHING to do with tribe or religion, those where things you were told when growing up, you are identified as a human, then as a black man, that's all, these are the only thing that came with you when you were born, tribe/religion are just things you picked up. The back Americans who were stolen from Africa years ago can tell that they were truly Africans because of their skin colour, the don't know if their ancestors were Igbo or Yoruba, they just know that they are human, and they are black because these are the only thing that cannot be removed from them, these are their intrinsic nature. Which heritage are you referring to? Is Lagos a foreign land to an Igbo/Hausa man? Lagos is in Nigeria, Igbos/Hausas are Nigerians, the Igbos/Hausas in Lagos are not in a foreign land, they are in their home country. You that is talking are you from Lagos or from Ekiti ? |

YorubaRonuuu: No one is stylishly saying it, it is just a fact, Lagos, Imo, Anambra, Delta, Kaduna, Abuja belongs to Nigerians so therefore it belongs to NO ONE. Imagine an American from New York telling another American from Chicago that he should be grateful for being allowed to live and do business in New York, how does that make sense? Is Lagos a foreign land to an Igbo/Hausa man? Lagos is in Nigeria, Igbos/Hausas are Nigerians, the Igbos/Hausas in Lagos are not in a foreign land, they are in their home country. You that is talking are you from Lagos or from Ekiti ? |

freeborn02: That Benin had an empire that stretched to Lagos and had Benin overlords, does not mean the people of the land are Benin. The British empire stretch to India and Africa, with British Governors as overlords, yet the people of those lands did not stop being Indian, Yoruba, Igbo, Zulu, Akan etc. |

kacheezy:thats the white mans lie. The bible was written by mostly Yoruba men who are the ancient Egyptians. It is during the Arab and roman invasion that they ran into the interiors of Africa. The bible is just another version of what is called the Orishas . We have the wise man Orunmila aka Daniel, we have the devil aka eshu, we have Mary aka Osun, we have job aka babaluaye , etc etc . Its written in ancient Egypt by the ancient Egyptians aka the Yoruba. Look at the head of the sphinx that's the head of a Yoruba woman

freeborn02: I wonder if they do reach you people history.. Benin itself wey you dey talk didn’t come into extended until Oba Eweka was born, the first Oba of Benin. It used to be called Igodomigodo. As as then, their was no Benin or Benin empire yet in existence.. Oranmiyan left from Ile-Ife to Igodomigodo. He states at a nearby village close to Igodomigodo. After a while, he started lording over them, not by force, but because Oranmiyan is a giant. The villagers saw him and made him their leader. Igodomigodo, got to hear about his style of leadership. They loved it but are always angry. This is why Oranmiyan termed them Ile-ibinu ( land of angry people). Oranmiyan later left Igodomigodo back to Oyo. But before he left, he already had a son named Eweka that later became the first Oba of Benin.. It was Oba Eweka that changed the Ile-ibinu to Ile-ibini. Development of Benin started under Oba Eweka. The Ile-ibini later changed to Benin due to European pronunciation. It was Oba Eweka that build Benin Empire.. Before these times, the west don dey run things. So how can what wasn’t in existence own any section of the west? The Benin empire only invaded Lagos in 15th century which they later leave. I didn’t read it anywhere that their was fight. I guess it was cuz the Awori people they met were from Ile-ife.. Ilu-Awori ( Lagos) is Egba land and Alake is the ruler of egba land. Egba people have always been very rich right from onset. They’ve been producing billionaires no be today. Haven’t you seen that nothing separates Lagos from Egba? Infact, Lagos state has been appealing to the egba to concede Mowe/Ibafo.. I also have a reason to believe this is why Tinubu do make outburst whenever he visits Ogun-State. They owned Ilu-Awori (Lagos). Alake of Egba land is the real king of egba land.. The development in Ilu-Awori didn’t begin during Amalgamation. Egba people have always been industrious people & well developed since many centuries ago. It was the influence that’s in Lagos till date.. |

nedzuby: You’re right and it just shows Igbos generally don’t do self-reflection. It has been the pattern with Igbos for a very long time. It started in Jos in the 1940s where Igbos were massacred en masse - then later Kano around the same period. And it reached a crescendo on the eve of the Biafra war. The sad part is that: Igbos never do self-reflection and examine the role they played in their victimisation and take accountability for their actions. However, they’re always quick to make it about other people being ‘jealous’ of them and keep repeating the same mistake everywhere. Are Kenyans, South Africans, Ghanaians, etc., also jealous of Igbos (who barely own any tangible assets in those countries) as well? The issue of Lagos and Igbos isn’t even a new thing. It started with Zik but Awolowo was able to stop that politically. Then Ojukwu continued it during Biafra war and Yorubas were able to stop it militarily. This is the 3rd wave of Igbo obsession with Lagos and it has reached a crescendo with LP’s victory during the last presidential election. Lagos isn’t a place to fight for by any non-Yoruba. It’s a natural fortification due to where it’s located and anyone trying to fight for it is at the worst disadvantage ever - since it’s a natural boiler/cauldron you can’t break (think Ukraine/Russia war and think what happened to Ukrainian forces in Mariupol - that’s basically Lagos). Yorubas can’t give up Lagos to anyone - 4th largest economy in Africa and 2nd largest coastline in Nigeria after Ondo. And historically, a lot of places that are part of Lagos state today have been the source of the wealth of Yoruba civilisation for 200-300years now. Why would any non-Yoruba think they can claim it? Yorubas are finished if they ever lose Lagos. 1 Like |
