NiMet WARNS OF POSSIBLE THERMAL DISCOMFORT

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has warned of possible rise in temperature across some cities in Nigeria, which may lead to thermal discomfort.

In a release today the Agency said that observations from the source region indicates that temperature is expected to rise above 40 degrees in the next 48 hours.
According to the statement "parts of Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Taraba, and Adamawa are expected to record temperatures greater than 40°C. While most parts of the Northern cities are expected to record temperatures between 35°C to 40°C, this includes parts of Oyo, Kwara, FCT, Nasarawa, and Benue". It reads.

The statement further warned that cities like Bauchi, Gombe, Borno, and Yola are at risk of experiencing high thermal discomfort, while the following days, parts of Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Taraba, and Adamawa are expected to experience temperatures greater than 40°C.

The Agency therefore advise people in these locations to drink a lot of fluid through this period.

NiMet assures of continuous monitoring of the weather and update Nigerians accordingly.

People will experience the discomfort in their homes without electricity for fans and air conditioners.

Can a man who spent so much money to steal someone else’s mandate solve the problem?

End time temperature. Where is righteousness when you need him?

Fake prophecies about the general election has made him close shop, the shame is too much, for they are yet to hear the voice of their gods.

Heatwave!

NiMet has been surprisingly accurate over the past few years. They are one of the few government agencies that are truly good at their jobs.

The unfortunate thing here is that people will not listen until it is too late. They warned of the flooding last year and nothing was done until after the disaster struck.

This is the time for the government of the affected States to swing into action. Ministries of health should be placed on alert and PHCN should give people light to power their cooling systems.

God bless Nigeria!
