Amazingly, most of those who voted them own okada. They're even jobless graduates, just managing with bike to earn a living. I know one of them, even married. He got the okada money through sports betting with his phone, not through any government's PEP. He bought a plot of land at Ifo, through same means. Grace time is over, until when another election approaches again and they use the usual bait of tribalism to catch them . People never learn. If you want to stop okada, make the rail system work effectively, not the political noise you're making everywhere in the media. I even learnt on channelstv weekend that the literail won't be fully operational until after 4 years, which confirmed my earlier suspicion before the elections when they were making so much noise about it to catch the gullible electorate. People can't steal so, they found a legitimate means of living but you're banning them. Why not make life easier for them? If safety is of any concern, why not enforce use of helmets? Ask them to obtain a licence? In China, people ride bikes everywhere. No restrictions . They even ride it to work. In the neighbouring Benin Republic, same. If you want to curb crime, you know what to do. I pity those mumus voting you guys. 2 Likes |

The way some people reason is baffling. How many people must die or be maimed before government effect the ban. 90% of patients at Igbobi orthopedic hospital are victims of okada accident in Lagos. Why are people against the ban? Some people are very pathetic 2 Likes 1 Share |

Just calm down Mr Poet. Democracy will also grow in Nigeria, don't compare us to western countries who have had democracy much longer. Haven't you noticed how bag and phones snatching has greatly reduced? Let alone heart wrenching bike accidents claiming several lives. " Ban in restricted areas" NIGERIAJAGAJAGA: |
