If we meet our OPEC quota, oil prices will crash. On the global scale that means increased supply which means a surplus....which means prices fall, as more oil means lower prices.

(Similar stuff happens in agriculture).

In 2014, when Saudi Arabia wanted to stop American crude oil producers, it exceeded its oil quota, (and forgot that it was supposed to be an OPEC member)...and the result was a crash in oil prices. Something similar happened in the early 1980's which led us from being a prosperous country in 1982 to having to beg IMF for money in 1986.

If all states produce oil, we would exceed our OPEC quota, and it would impact oil prices drastically.

Let's even recall that OPEC is not in control as it used to be....one third of oil production is from OPEC countries. Many African countries have discovered oil self.

Apart from Zamfara state .....there are huge deposit of Gold in kwara, kebbi , sokoto , Niger , Kaduna and bauchi. especially in Sokoto . But sadly, their leaders over there , are pocketing everything
