We have been blessed with resources much more than Saudi, Qatar and the rest, but why is our country like this??

.

It's the people... Cos if you say bad leaders, no be same Nigerian people dey lead?

Also, you have to factor in population and Nigerias division between ethnic and religious lines... This affects us. We're too different, and keep fighting each other. Saudi people and Qatar people are Arabs with one religion.

Back to population, Qatar population is just over 2 million... Lagos population alone is 10 times that of a whole Qatar. So, think of how they enjoy their oil money within just 2 million of them, and we we have to share our oil money between 200 million people.

Oil found in Obi local govt in "Nassarawa state"....why must everything good be associated with this name?
Because we all love and pray for Obi when he was a boy. However, Obi should not mistake the love for something else.

The poorest region that owns 80% of the profitable assets in Nigeria. How did they get the money to buy? I laugh deeply.
Dangote, Dantata, BUA, Rano and many other dollar billionaires but asides Adenuga and Otedola, how many southern billionaires in dollar can be pointed to?

All phony and boggy oil fields by the Buhari who sees himself as the Othman Dan Fodio of Nigeria in the 21st century. All he wants is 13% from derivation to be extended to northern states. Leaders of the northern states had been complained about 13% from derivation making some states richer than others. They lobbied for cancellation of 13% derivation.

I meant every state n Nigeria , not every country , at least the prices will be low for Nigerians , but expensive when we export , petrol is almost free in Qatar ,

1.I understood you clearly. Every state means that at the end, Nigerian oil production overall shoots up to more than say 5m barrels of crude per day...which from a global perspective means more oil, which depresses the price.

2.Qatar has a population of about 1.4 million people and produces 1.1 m barrels of crude a day, mostly offshore....that is about 1 crude oil barrel revenue going to one Qatari if the revenue was shared like that. Compare that with our over 150 million people, and 1.8m barrels per day.(150 or more people share the revenue of one barrel in Nigeria)

They are just siphoning the oils from the south south and are channeling it to the north in the disguise of discovery of oil in the north. May God deliver the south south region before it is too late. What a pity.

Apart from Zamfara state .....there are huge deposit of Gold in kwara, kebbi , sokoto , Niger , Kaduna and bauchi. especially in Sokoto . But sadly, their leaders over there , are pocketing everything

Apart from oil, we have Lithium, Gold, Tin, Coal, good & fertile lands for Agriculture, different water bodies for Aquaculture, diverse tourism centres etc

It's the bad policies made by the people at the helm of affairs that keep limiting our natural & our human resources.

Division is not going to happen because North has oil.

Because the North has to transport the oil to the sea for export...and the problem is, in a divided Nigeria, it may end up paying transit fees for the oil to reach export terminals, which may eat up a large chunk of export revenue.

A united Nigeria is beneficial to the North than a divided one. Most landlocked African countries have one prayer...free access to the sea. That is why that railway to Niger is going to benefit Nigeria long term, they will be paying back the cost of building it in transit fees and other costs over the years.
And what is wrong with paying transit fees to border countries to export? It is called business!
