Only in Nigeria you see lawless civilians like him have power over law abiding intellectuals. Yet those who pride themselves as Leaders sees absolutely nothing wrong with it

We the people, gave him and his likes such power out of our: bigotry, religious view, nonchalant attitude, nepotistic character, tribal sentiments, money worshiping etc.

He didn't fall from space and became a super human. We made him. And this is the repercussions of all of that.

You guys should stop misleading people. MC Oluomo was suspended from NURTW some years ago, i think he was even expelled, but he went ahead to establish a parallel union called
Lagos State Parks and Garages Association with agberos loyal to him.

DOptical:

Says who?

Mcolumo is the chairman of Lagos Nurtw. Nurtw is in every state with their indigenous chairman, so what are you crying about exactly? See Abia Nurtw for example.

Mc Oluomo is not an elected public official, neither is he a law enforcement agent, yet he extorts Lagosians uncontested and commands great power & influence in Lagos — thanks to ruling party's chronic corruption.

Mods, another tribalist.

Here’s one and you are still complaining.

Why have you not solved the one in the south east that are hundreds times worst than the one Lagos. You all focused all your attention on south west thinking you will eventually take over Yoruba land because we are easy going but you will be shocked when you discover that the gentility of a tiger does not make him a coward, a quiet person may not easily get angry but when they do they are worst than the lousy loud mouthed ones, we are getting there.

Is that why you would not let legitimate voters decide who will lead them, who are you to tell others what is right and wrong outside of the constitution, at least let those who want to vote for him vote for him....

Why can't they arrest the agberos?

Because the bus drivers also pay booking for security.

Policemen also collect their share of those taxes. And na agberos dey help Dem collect the money.

Who worships him? It's actually people like you who keep talking about him. If only you used the same energy, you would have known all states have their own Nurtw chairman! Mcolumo is only an indigenous chairman of Lagos Nurtw, just like every state have their own indigenous Nurtw chairman. Stop disturbing me with the hypocritical bullshit noise and rest!
Lol...you don't worship MC oluomo?? cheesy you actually sound like most persons that do worship him. How many nurtw in other states have the same power oluomo have? Its your likes that have made mere agberos above the law. When people talk about the atrocities they commit, people like you come online to defend agberos. After defending them, then you'd go to the bus stop to cry that they have made life hard for you through tfare hike cheesy. Keep worshiping your lord oluomo cheesy

some of u ll type ignorantly agbero or transport union has existed before Nigerian Independence... Ask questions... U have transport union in all states of the federation

It’s safe to say people like you have a rotten character with your unintelligent comment. You’ve got eyes to read and brain to decode what was written but you refused to use it.

I made a reference to MC since the headline is about him. I didn’t dispute the fact that there were no agberos and/or transport Union prior to him becoming the Lagos chapter chairman.

At least I’ve been around for over 4 decades and know quite a few ‘bout Lagos & Nigerian histories. It’s better to ask questions before you throw unintelligent jabs to who is probably doing better and know better than you do.

BluntTheApostle:

You people don't even understand how the transport system works.

There is NURTW with chapters in every state. And for your information, the NURTW has been generally accused of extortion nationwide, not just in Lagos state.

To address the issue for Lagos state, the state government set up the Lagos State Parks and Garages Association to check on the excesses of NURTW Lagos chapter which includes extortion.

So, MC Oluomo is only doing his job. Before, drivers had to part with 20,000 naira daily due to different extortion and all, but now that Lagos State Parks and Garages Association has waded in, they now have to pay only a little below 3000 naira daily.

So, I don't understand you people's problems.

And mentioning the police, what do you expect them to do? Arrest the NURTW workers (who you people like to call thugs)?

It is like students protesting highhandedness of lecturers individually when they have a student union that they can go to.

That is what the police are saying. If you have a way of attempting to solve your problems, there is no need to protest in such a way that allows unscrupulous elements hijack your protest like they did with the EndSARS protest.

I don’t know where you derives that information about drivers parting away with N20,000 from but that’s wrong.

How much do they make on a daily that they’d have to pay agbero 20k. We Nigerians need to stand up for what’s just and right without being biased.

You’d know better if you’re the one doing the work and someone is somewhere taking your hard earned money.

You won't come from a place where your parents are compelled to hide indoors every Monday to tell me about human rights.
Your parents don't have human rights but that is not your problem.

Anyone that wants to work against our interest will be dealt with. We know how to deal with bastards and saboteurs among us. But before then, we will destroy outsiders working against us.
