Let's be honest, referees run along with the ball.
If they don't then it's not a match they're refereeing.

Normal if they have other businesses or source of income, but still it's still quite low compared to footballers'.

No wonder EPL refs officiate matches anyhow and you watching will be thinking is it not same match you are watching that the ref is officiating like dis with out knowing that the ref had placed a bet in favour of one team against the other.
That amount for EPL refs is so poor,they deserve more so they can stop gambling and make the right decisions in the field of play

Too small compared to what players received weekly. I mean most of these referees cover more ground on the pitch than some of my darlin Chelsea players like Lotus Cheek and Kai Harvertz.

They are lucky I ain't a referee. I would have been making up for this meager salary by influencing the match I'm going to officiate. All I would have had to do was give money to someone else to stake on the match I'm officiating.. I would influence the result in favour of my bet in the least noticeable way.

referees do not earn salaries, they are paid allowances. Refereeing is a hobby by playing football is a profession. The refrees have work they are doing where they earn salaries.
It's only in Africa that refereeing is seen as a full time job.

These referees don't spend their money in naira nor are they living in Nigeria. They pay their bills in where they are. When a Nigerian makes dollars and brings it to Nigeria, the Nigerian is expected to live a better life because he's in Nigeria where the value of our currency is nothing. But if the Nigerian makes dollar and spends it abroad, he won't enjoy it. Because whatever he buys , he buys it dollar rate.

How many games they officiate in a month ...this is a nice once. They don't officiate one match
