flokii: Ok, we can remove subsidy for those wiling to pay full fees and get their license promptly while those that get subsidy will be bonded. Alternatively, we can have subsidized schools and non subsidized schools |

DMerciful:Ofcourse, most parents who created these dysfunctional homes have no choice and see no wrong in it. 123papas:It shows you do not understand the real issues. If they could afford it they will not be using taxpayers money to heavily subsidize their ward's education. |

Gajagojo:You are missing the point and you are lying. You do not need 300 in jamb to study medicine and it is not studied only in Nigeria or govt universities only. My focus is on those whose education are heavily subsidized by tax payers. If you are smart enough and your parents are rich and successful, go overseas to study medicine |

Gajagojo:You are repeating same mistake and I knew you were being arrogant but just needed to be sure. I repeat, you were misleading your readers by suggesting that you need 300 in JAMB to study medicine. If you are humble you will withdraw that lie after I corrected you. Again, I am right by taking you back to the tax payers pain which is in focus. That you are being corrected publicly does not mean you have not been corrected like this in private. Pride goeth before a fall. Be humble. 1 Like |

julybaba:Sir I do not think read the story., The proposal is to stop ACTIVE recruitment. That means they will not come to look for Nigerian doctors. If Nigerian doctors come to their country there is absolutely no restriction The question is how many of the doctors leaving for the UK were actively recruited. So they will not advertise jobs in Nigerian media and they will not head hunt Nigerian doctors but if Nigerian doctors come to their country they will be accepted Where is the humiliation in that? |

FreeStuffsNG: You are the one missing the point. Many doctors that left the country originally didn't want to go. They wanted to stay! They left because of inadequate working condition. They were perennially on strike to improve just this, without success. You did not address this; instead, you proposed a bill to turn these longsuffering group into constitutional slaves at the flimsiest of whims. Did you and these legislators really put much thought into this exercise. It makes worse the problems you are trying to resolve. You will produce less doctors in the long run. For only an idiot will spend several years in medical school and wait several more years before being fully licensed in a failing health system like ours! 1 Like |
