I hope this story is NOT true because if it is as reported, then your country is done and dusted and anyone that's talking about One Nigeria needs to be hung in the village square. Now, tell me how can you expect someone who spends that kind of money to get such a position to work on your behalf? Folks, you really need to see your failed country for what it is and NOT what you wish it is. Nigeria is the MOST corrupt and useless country on the face of this earth bar NONE! You can continue to live in denial but it is what it is!

All these half baked journalism.

If you dont mention their names then the report is not true...

How much is their salary again?
Then one person will spend $1m each on how many people?
Is not a half-baked journalism, when a source pleaded anonymity, you must shield the identity of the source

The money is not in the salary, it's in the constituency allocations, other allowances, bribes from local and international companies/organizations to move bills that will boost agendas or business etc.

You got it right!

I don't understand.

What exactly is the difference between a senator and the senate president? Even the difference in allowance is not much.

So what is it that they are ready to bribe with almost a billion naira?
Jon Snow, you know nothing

Can't blame anyone who these figures seem ridiculous to.
But when you're close to happenings around the corridor of power, you'll constantly hear numbers that can make you numb to what sounds ridiculous to the average person. Individual multinational companies are known to be willing to offer hundreds of millions of dollars to create favourable legislation that will in turn help them recoup their bribes and outrageous profits. Just one piece of legislation can create opportunities to realise billions in profit, so our legislators hold keys that open doors, and the cost of each key can make 1 million dollars per senator sound like only expression of interest. Money full dis country trowey!

Nigeria is the richest country in the world. We just have greedy leaders whose job is to milk the nation dry. They will all roast in the pit of hell.
