What is INEC vetting? INEC does not have the power to disqualify any Candidate, that's why INEC announced before the elections, telling Nigerians to scrutinise the documents, forms and certificates of Candidates and go to Court. INEC is not to blame for the alleged perjury. Gunayo:You see the problem? We are all here to learn. Now listen, neither the Electoral Act nor the Constitution empowers INEC to disqualify Candidates. So, if you want it differently, you urge that the laws be amended. INEC did the best they could, by telling Nigerians and aspirants to screen through the Certificates and documenta of those seeking political offices (before the election). They also made public these documents so you and I can look through. Universities are empowered by their regulations to screen, that's why you do clearance when you get admitted.
