Uniosun Women's Day Celebration: Wife of the Governor Urges Women to Embrace Equity, Impact Positive Change

... Gov Adeleke Approved Millions to Complete old LAUTECH Abandoned Building, We are Grateful ~ Uniosun VC

... His Excellency is a Listening Governor, Lover of the Masses ~ Uniosun Registrar

TODAY, wife of the Governor of Osun State, Her Excellency, Erelu Ngozi Adeleke*, amongst other dignitaries, attended the celebration marking the *Uniosun Women's Day for the year 2023*. The theme for this year's event was tagged *"Embracing Equity"* with Professor (Mrs) Olabisi Aina as a Guest Lecturer.

Speaking at the event which took place at the Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium of Osun State University which had 'Very Important Personalities' across all walks of life seated, Erelu Ngozi Adeleke voiced her happiness for the honour by the University Council.

While delivering her speech at the University, wife of the governor emphasized on the need to combat gender stereotypes, discrimination as well as the importance of giving equity a huge embrace that will create an inclusive environment for us to grow as a people.

"I want to appreciate the entire management team of the Osun State University, most especially the vice chancellor of the University, Prof. Odunayo Clement Adebooye.

"Permit me to mention that we live in a society where equity is not properly embraced. Equity is not just a social necessity but a core value that we must embrace as an integral part of our societal norms. When each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities, that is called equity.

"We must therefore embrace equity and create an inclusive environment for us to grow as a people. While I commend those who have been at the forefront of ensuring equity prevails in our contemporary society, I want to further charge other change-seeking elements to begin a crusade for equity by actively supporting and embracing equity within our own sphere of influence", the statement noted.

The vice chancellor of the University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, while appreciating the wife of the governor for gracing Uniosun Women's Day celebration with her presence, said the University is grateful for the intervention of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke over the age-long abandoned building that will soon wear a new look.

"There is a 12 year-old abandoned building by the old LAUTECH which was almost in a state of dilapidation. When Governor Ademola Adeleke came onboard, I went to greet him and explained the situation of things to him. He promised to assist to University in completing the abandoned project. Today, he has approved a whooping sum for the completion of the building located at Isale Osun which has 59 offices as we speak. As soon as the building is completed, the University will invite His Excellency for the commissioning", Prof. Adebooye noted.

Dignitaries present at the Uniosun Women's Day Celebration include the former deputy governor and Commissioner for Education, Chief (Mrs) Titi Laoye, Guest Lecturer, Prof (Mrs) Olabisi Aina, Wife of the former governor and founder of WOCDIF, Chief (Mrs) Omolola Oyinlola, the Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji who was represented by the Iyalode of Osogboland.

We've turn her to yoruba so no cause for alarm ,we even gave a yoruba name, few decades to come.. Most igbos would have turned to yoruba because many of them now claim they come from yorubaland to the extent of naming their children a yoruba name.. Your great zik is an example grin

Show us one of your Governors married to a Yoruba woman or with a Yoruba mother and we will accept that it is the Yorubas that are the Tribal bigots you always call them and not yourselves

Yorubas are people who love their Neighbours

Show us any of Your Governors with aYoruba wife or Mother like Adeleke and Akeredolu

So that we can know that it is truly Yorubas that are the Tribal bigots you always accuse them of being

and not yourselves

Nobody marries yoruba women dont you get it. There is a reason why your elites go for igbo women, they want a different gene pool. They want their kids to have certain characteristics/traits. Poor you, just find a way to numb your pains.

However, it's still yoruba Ronu to this day! grin

If you bring Tribalism into Gov Adelekes case
he will definitely loose a second term

Mind you I am an avid Adeleke supporter
Osun People voted for Adeleke because they liked him
Do you know that Many Oyo Yoruba families are of Hausa Matrilineal descent
It is not a big deal in Yorubaland because since time Immemorial we embrace People
We are not trained to reject and hate people
We embrace those who are with us

The moment Adeleke starts promoting a non Yoruba agenda his Political Career is finished

Anyway back on point show us any of your Politicians married to a Yoruba woman or with a Yoruba mother like Adeleke so we can accept that it is the Yorubas that are the Tribal bigots you always call them and Not yourselves

No wonder you are so miserable at Politics
You can’t even unite yourselves not to talk of uniting others

Oga shut up!! You think the stupid tribal sentiments you idiots whipped up in Lagos can work in Osun?

The most potent proof of Tribalism by Yorubas is the harrassment of non-yoruba voters in Lagos
