ECOWAS Parliament Pleads For Leniency As Ekweremadu Awaits UK Court Sentence by NwekeUG(m): 10:40am On May 03, 2023
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament has written to the government of the United Kingdom, appealing for leniency in the sentencing of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; and his wife, Beatrice, on Friday, May 5, IGBERETV reports.

It could be recalled that on March 23, the Ekweremadus and their doctor, Obiann Obeta, having been tried for allegations of organ trafficking, were found guilty by the Old Bailey court in the UK, of facilitating the travel of a young man to Britain on behalf of Ekweremadu’s sick daughter, Sonia, with a view to his exploitation.

In a letter dated April 6, 2023 and addressed to the Chief Clerk of The Central Criminal Court, Old Bailey, London, the Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, Rt. Hon. Dr. Sidie Mohamed Tunis, appealed to the court to temper justice with mercy.

Ekweremadu should be allowed to face the consequences of his action. That's a saner clime , were the law is not a respecter of anybody. Not this zoo, were a known drug lord with no education is warming up to be sworn in. God punish Nigeria.

You see why the ECOWAS sub-region is such a failed region? They're asking the UK to grant leniency to persons whose actions posed mortal danger to another human being. Gladly the UK knows the value of one life. Let them act according to law.

Ekeremadus money doing wonders again.

They won't beg for leniency if it's ordinary citizen of no significance.

I hope UK government don't listen to all these corrupt pleads.
