I have owned dogs for the past 35 years and I can authoritatively assert that dogs eat grass, not as food, maybe for medicinal purposes. Not all types of grass anyways

I once observed my dogs ‘eating’ grass (exactly what that lion is doing) and became curious. On subsequent and closer observation, I discovered they were not actually eating grass but likely using it as brush to run in between their teeth’s or sometimes eat it and vomit it later. Maybe a method they use to indicate they have warm or whatever the case maybe.
I can’t say my dogs are hungry seeing them doing that with grass because their monthly feeding budget exceeds #200,000.

Carnivores eat grass. They eat for some reasons. I've seen dogs eat grass in several occasions
