I wonder why the same man refuses to supply crude to modular refinery that has been completed long ago? What is his reason. Then, how is he going to pay for it, hope it will not be for the benefits of NNPC officials at expense of Nigerians Because I have not seen NNPC MD that has corrupt as this present one, a man who failed to remit a single naira to federation account for the whole year 2022, claiming we consume 100 millions of liters of petroleum every day, the incoming government must revisit this.

The problem is not supplying 300,000 barrels of Crude, but what are they getting in return? There are 12 byproducts that will come out of that Crude Oil...what are the terms?
Kerosene, Petrol, Diesel, Aviation Fuel, LPFO, HFO, petrochemical feedstocks, waxes, lubricating oils, asphalt, etc etc etc

I will have rather loved to hear that Dangote Refinery 'is purchasing crude oil', rather than the NNPC 'supplying'.....
This little seemingly insignificant wording has serious implications in a country such as Nigeria where accountability is a serious problem.

The relationship between Dangote and the NNPC should be conducted with utmost transparency and in the public interest only because it involves national assets, resources, our collective patrimony and as such there must not be any hint of underhand dealings.

Purchases of crude must be to the barrel and receipts must be paid to the relevant agencies in a timely manner because the end products will be paid for by citizens at the point of consumption.

We don't want to hear about shady transactions and the kinds of unsavoury dealings that have characterized the NNPC for over 50 years no matter what coat they wear these days.

The National Assembly must take the centre stage in checking this in requesting for comprehensive audits of the transactions between both parties to the highest standards possible.

We cannot afford to exit the corruption around the fuel subsidy caper of the last twenty five years and merely change the address of the perpetrators. And yes, the NNPC has been in cahoots.

It's not help. It's business - NNPC is a supplier and Dangote is a buyer. no reason not to sell to him especially when there are fewer logistical hindrances to doing so.

Stop it. You know very well that the use of the word supply there was not intended to imply any of the conclusions you're hastily rushing into. A person who sells is a supplier. That does not imply that it will be supplied for free anywhere in the world.

How would the NNPC give away petroleum for free - to a businessman at that. What would be the incentive?

Good one.

That means the Refinery won't still operate at Full Capacity for sometimes. 300,000 Barrels still fall short of the 600,000 Barrel installed Capacity.

But we start somewhere .

Good one. But Alhaji, the Nigeria Market first!

No

300,000 barrel Crude oil could be used to produce more than 600,000 barrels of different products

I believe we should all calm down because we already have laws in this country that governs this type of transactions and moreover I believe it will be easier for us as a country to monitor each transaction without the need to run after interpol or CIA for help. EFCC and DSS will handle that.

Unnecessary grammar. NNPC will be selling crude oil to Dangote refinery at the international price and not gifting him. The only difference is that he will be paying in Naira and not dollars.

Our Leaders could not build any new refinery since 1999.

Always question:

1. Dangote refinery was built on US DOLLAR loan.
2. He has to pay back the loan plus interest in US DOLLAR plus interest. It is no joke the cost jumped from $9B to $19B.
3. He need to earn US DOLLAR and not NAIRA.

Questions:
1. is NNPC selling the 300k crude oil in NAIRA or DOLLAR to Dangote?
note: FG needs to earn more DOLLAR to prevent re-current DOLLAR shortage and beef the Foreign Reserve.

2. or is the 300K crude oil part of the 20% portion of FG on the deal?

2. will Dangote sell the refined products to Nigeria in NAIRA or US DOLLAR?

Tinubu happens to be the luckiest President ever

Nigeria spends 6trillion on subsidy yearly

If Dangote Refinery get 300,000 barrels swap deal for Petrol, Gas, Diesel, Jet A1 and Oil

Tinubu would be making an annual savings of 5trillion

Tinubu won't experience fuel scarcity

Tinubu would build our foreign reserves with dollars meant to export crude

Ibeju Lekki Seaport would be the busiest in West Africa, exporting refined petroleum and paying tax to Lagos and FG

Either way you see it Tinubu and Dangote played the game smartly and they are about to cashout forever

In another development, rumors have it Tinubu and other Political class are buying up Lithium ore accross Africa in preparation for green energy

No

Dangote Refinery has an installed capacity to refine 640,000/650,000 Barrels of Crude Daily.

NNPC is here giving them 300,000 will fall short of the installed Capacity. This is not in any way surprising because the 300,000 Barrels NNPC is pledging is actually what was earmarked Daily for Local Consumption. I won't be surprised if the additional 300,000 to make 600k barrels is sold to Dangote Refinery from Nigeria output or they will be forced to look for the shortfall away from Nigeria.

Of cos I know for Businesses and Businessmen/women, their bottom line is the focus, that is why I am pleading with Alhaji to think home first. And come to think of it, NNPC owns a 20% Stake in the Refinery, so I am sure their will be some concession here and there for the Local Market. This I am sure of.

That 300k Barrel daily is just one of the numerous move for the Local Market.

OK oo. Would it be at full consideration, given that NNPC already acquired a 20% stake and qualifies as an associate?

The is nothing good in NNPC,as they failed in all aspects to make Nigerians happy since independence! So, acquiring 20% stake in Dangote is a forced arrangements to make them relevant to their past failures!
The New Govt should desolved the Company and ask their Directors to account for their Non- performance!
Imagine, how ARAMCO- Saudi-Arabia is now the biggest Oil Industry in the World, with solid revenues and profit making! How can NNPC that failed to make Refineries workable be talking about Dangote Refineries and on what ground of competence?
Up till today,Nigerians are suffering in Fuel Supply,Deissel, Aviation Fuel,Black Oil,etc.- imagine the employments that ought to have been generated to the Nigerian Youths, just because of Corruption in many MIDAS,as they cannot account for the homongous resources at their disposal!

Lie lying. Lied
Nigeria system.
As subsidizy scam.
If 300, 000 is written 350,000 or 400,000 is supplied.
If processed is 200,000, 100,000 or 150,000 will be returned.
Who will collect the bye products of that 300,000 barrel?
These are the matter arising that Tinubu must ever ready to take on by horn; else it is business as usual.
