Indeed, therin lies the problem with the Obidient argument over Abuja.

Personally, even though I was not very fond of Obi (Obi, Atiku, Tinubu and Buhari are just fingers of the same leprous hand to me), I would have liked it if LP won. But they did not , and they only succeded in dividing the PDP vote to pieces.

FCT is a territory. It is even run by a Minister, not by an elected governor self. The and clause is to ensure FCT votes are the same as votes from other parts of Nigeria. That is how it has been. It is obidients who have come with their funny argument about the thing.

The Obidients are busy Wrestling with the English language

Instead of using the Brain God Almighty blessed them with to Reason things out

They can be astonishingly unreasonable

Tinubu is going no where.
He knows he didn't win the majority nor the constitutional requirement.

He believes he has acquired so much money and can buy the presidency.
Yes he has bought many but he cannot buy the citizens of the new Nigeria. He is heading for a gracious collaspe.

His collapse is imminent. We are retrieving our mandate soon

Sometimes I wonder whether you guys really know how daft you all sound to ever imagine 25% in Abuja should decide who govern Nigeria. cheesy

It's like saying Adeleke should not be declared Osun state governor because he didn't get 25% in Oshogbo LG or makinde in Ibadan LG. grin
People like you exist all over the place...

You don't know jack but you think you know so it becomes very difficult to teach you.

If the Nigerian constitution stipulates expressly that Adeleke needed to win 25% in Osogbo to be declared winner of Osun guber election, he wouldn't have been declared the winner if had won 99.9% of votes cast in the remaining 29 or so local government of Osun State...

That is how the law works...There is no sentiments or lazy generalisations...

Winning the round of an election is no guarantee of winning the second or third round...

We have instances all over the world where the winner of the first round got defeated in subsequent rounds.

You Tinubu supporters have to be among the most ignorant and mischievous humans on the face of the earth..

It is not logical that a candidate must have votes of at least 25% in FCT to win the Presidential election. If a candidate wins with a margin of 98% in 36 states but the same candidate polls 20% in FCT and some people insist there is 25% FCT provision that prevents the candidate from becoming President. Then, that reasoning is not logical at all.

Law is law not what it should be.

Law isn't logical at all times, it is what it is not what it should be .

That's why amendments are carried out periodically to change it from what it is to what it should be.

What it is prevails at all times

Please from the results declared can you say Obi met the first 2 from your list?
Also section 299 of the constitution has said the FCT should be treated as a state.

If the results remain constant as declared nobody met the those conditions, there should have been a run off

The rerun will be between the person with more states Vs the person with most votes.

If Rivers state is reallocated to the tru winner, Peter Obi. Then it could be Peter Obi Vs any of Tinubu and Atiku. That is after all the votes Tinubu stole has been restored to their rightful owners.

The section you posted is referring to how FCT will be administered.
It has nothing to do with the presidential election or percentage of vote Cast.

I know you're petty. I'm not among the framers of the constitution.
Deal with it. The constitution has already given the conditions for one to emerge as president.

1. Majority votes
2. 25% of votes cast in 24 states AND
3. 25% of votes cast in FCT.

If it's not okay by deal with the constitution

You know nothing. Sorry for the insult though.

Those who made the law never knew it would be like this! U see, laws sometimes can be unreasonable. This matter strong. The constitution maybe amended to fix it but for now, it holds Tinubu strongly

Lmao😝😝. Everyone knows that Tinubu didn't meet the requirements to be declared, but since he's my tribesman, we will defend him even if it's unconstitutional

Is she one of our SCON Judges? Or she is one of the judges of the election tribunal?
Or maybe she is a lawyer for INEC

what is so particular about this FCT? So if win in all the state but lose in FCT I cannot be declared winner? What is really so particular about FCT, why is it so? Why is it not another state but FCT? Let us concentrate on the election malpractice and leave this FCT matter

Kadaria Ahmed is not the court of law that will deliver judgment.
Let the supreme Court take care of this matter.
Any other opinions expressed on this issue of 25 percent in fct carry apart from supreme Court pronouncement carry no relevance.
