People will just be fabricating stories, do you know what it means to have $11m cash in possession?? Una go just dey talk rubbish! You think dollars is naira, that money might not even be up to $2m in cash. The said stolen amount is well exaggerated. Even Bureau de change don't carry such amount in cash.
Even if it’s $2m, which bank accepts $2m deposit per day into a dorm account? Max deposit per day is $10,000 The Story no add up

If this robbery had happened in SE, children of perdition would have labelled SE all sorts of names but they have kept mute because it happened in their region.

The bank will be held responsible to pay the customer once there is evidence of the said amount. It is wrong for you to tuen back a customer with such deposit. The operations manager should be sacked immediately.

The story no too add up sha.

1. There is NO commercial bank in Nigeria that will reject a deposit of 11m dollars. Even come at 7pm, the branch manager himself will come to count the money.

2. Except it is a transaction you are coming to do and not a deposit that will benefit the branch in anyway, even if they can't count the money, it can be "vaulted" for you till the following day.

Conclusion, the amount involved is no where 11m dollars or the guy is not coming from any bank to deposit money, he is coming from or going for a non-banking business transaction that he can't disclose.

Whichever way, may God assist him to get over the loss and may God help us to all to be as wise as ....

We learn everyday.

Armed robbery will keep increasing in the south west because the guns emilokan people distributed to the armed robbers to harrass and intimidate igbos during the election were not retrieved after the election was grabbed and the ran away as instructed.

On Monday morning, your mother father and mother will be fighting for space to lie down under the bed, courtesy of UGM that you foolish igbos support.

I just laugh at the shortsighted and stupidity of you akpu munchers.

You guys should just stop cooking up stories thinking everyone will believe your thrash as kids listening to how the tortoise fell from the sky and crashed his back.

$11m cash means one 1,100 wrappers of the $100 bill which is the highest denominations. Do you know how many bags you would require to carry such money. You don't need bag, you need bullion van.

Do you know what you are saying?
It all depends on the denomination of the dollars.

Do you know you can fit a million dollars in $100 bills into a standard briefcase.

We are talking of 2 ghana most here it will take 11million dollars in high denomination though

who goes to deposit such huge amount of cash, in a bank, at closing hours....? just counting that huge amount of money would last at least an hour!

any man who walks around with $11M in cash (in such above yeye looking car with no police escort), deserves anything he gets from armed robbers because he is the biggest HE-diot in town!

Even Hausa dey accept transfer now.

What are you doing with $11m cash? He isn't clean.

If he was in Ibadan or Osun state, I might say he is into minerals business but Ogun state? I suspect it is politicians money he is laundering.

Handover is Monday and banks will be closed. Tinubu will not be so hard on corruption so many politicians will start depositing their ill-gotten gains in banks through proxies. That was probably why he chose close to the closing hours in Abeokuta.

Thats over 600million at exchange rate of $1=700naira. Less than 400m shy of lbillion naira.
Who goes around with more than 400m without security? Mehn . Chances of the robbers being apprehended after police investigation and the money recovered in this nigeria are nil.

P.S. l blame it on naija banking system. It calls for a serious upgrade. Country l am in right now have their own local country currency of course. But in every city, there are still US DOLLARS ACCEPTING ATMS WHERE U CAN WITHDRAW US DOLLARS AND OF COURSE AT ANY TIME, 24HRS EVEN OUTSIDE BANKING HOURS, DEPOSIT US DOLLARS INTO UR DOLLAR DOMICILLARY ACCOUNTS WITH DOLLAR ATMS MACHINES Such places are risky after dark sha, but its still better .

Recheck your calculation. 11,000,000 * 700 = 7.7billion

It’s a clear set up from the bank. I use to know of this policy by bank where you could box the money and have it properly counted the next day. It’s called stalked counting or something. The customer goes with the keys to the box. Why was this not applied ? Again, the aboki too should be throughly interrogated, if he’s not the rightful owner of the money then he’s also a suspect .

The robbers wouldn't last long.

The size of the loot is not likely to be that much... but the thieves will find it extremely hard to keep

Judging from previous incidents, the Bureau De Change folks are very very fortified African wise.

Might sound ruthless, but if they wanted to enjoy the money, they should have killed him. That way he wouldn't come after them.

Seen cases of very large sums robbed from BDCs and what came afterwards...

Just watch.
