The bank will be held responsible to pay the customer once there is evidence of the said amount. It is wrong for you to tuen back a customer with such deposit. The operations manager should be sacked immediately. |

dre11: The story no too add up sha. 1. There is NO commercial bank in Nigeria that will reject a deposit of 11m dollars. Even come at 7pm, the branch manager himself will come to count the money. 2. Except it is a transaction you are coming to do and not a deposit that will benefit the branch in anyway, even if they can't count the money, it can be "vaulted" for you till the following day. Conclusion, the amount involved is no where 11m dollars or the guy is not coming from any bank to deposit money, he is coming from or going for a non-banking business transaction that he can't disclose. Whichever way, may God assist him to get over the loss and may God help us to all to be as wise as .... We learn everyday. 1 Like 1 Share |

MrBrownJay1: Even Hausa dey accept transfer now. What are you doing with $11m cash? He isn't clean. If he was in Ibadan or Osun state, I might say he is into minerals business but Ogun state? I suspect it is politicians money he is laundering. Handover is Monday and banks will be closed. Tinubu will not be so hard on corruption so many politicians will start depositing their ill-gotten gains in banks through proxies. That was probably why he chose close to the closing hours in Abeokuta. 2 Likes 1 Share |

It’s a clear set up from the bank. I use to know of this policy by bank where you could box the money and have it properly counted the next day. It’s called stalked counting or something. The customer goes with the keys to the box. Why was this not applied ? Again, the aboki too should be throughly interrogated, if he’s not the rightful owner of the money then he’s also a suspect . |

The robbers wouldn't last long. The size of the loot is not likely to be that much... but the thieves will find it extremely hard to keep Judging from previous incidents, the Bureau De Change folks are very very fortified African wise. Might sound ruthless, but if they wanted to enjoy the money, they should have killed him. That way he wouldn't come after them. Seen cases of very large sums robbed from BDCs and what came afterwards... Just watch. |
