BAT is introducing us to the days ahead. It will not be easy.

May we have no reason to miss PMB's government, though.

Peter obi also said he will provide buffers to damper the effect of the subsidy b4 removing it….

What has Tinubu put on ground to damper the effect of the removal, absolutely nothing, if u actually care about your people u don’t put ur people in suffering and say u are trying to save them.

Now look at the effect… well am not disappointed… didn’t expect anything better from him though

Nothing anyone can do about that subsidy removal. It's been removed, period. And all of us know the negative impacts this unnecessary spending costs us every year, and once we get a president with golden ball, so courageous to deal with issue point blank, we don't have any problems in Nigeria again.

And money saved from it won't enter SEYI Tinubu and his father cronies pockets?

What happened to the money saved from other petroleum products that are not subsidized over the years?
Re: Labour Reacts To Tinubu’s Plan To Remove Subsidy by fashrola(m): 10:54am On May 30, 2023
Subsidy removal but minimum wage is still the same....

I don't have issues with subsidy removal but at least some things should have been put into place before the removal.

The poorest of people will suffer it.... Even some jobless folks here with itchy fingers with no brain cell membrane are supporting the removal without thinking about the adverse effect on the populace because they are still feeding fat under their parents/guardians house.

Most nations of the world have subsidy in place for petroleum. But Nigeria's subsidy is x400 of the actual subsidy. Even the country don't know how much petrol she consumes. So, the removal of subsidy is as a result of the loop holes sucking off extra coins within the system.

Very correct you are!

Labour unions that cannot render accounts of dues paid by members, organizations that suppose to form their banks to alleviate the stresses of ordinary citizens-only making noise about fuel subsidy they compromise at the end of the day.

No sensible leader will remove subsidy without better options, the current president and his group occupied Nigeria when President Goodluck removed the subsidy

So we should wait to fix our obsolete refineries , before subsidy is removed abi?

Subsidy is removed. And there is nothing stopping it. Be ready to buy fuel for 500 naira and above.

Remover of subsidy was already in motion to be removed on the 31st of May , signed by Buhari. ...And you expect Tinubu to leave subsidy?
I am 100% in support of the remover .

The subsidy was already planned to be removed on the 31st of May. Are you not aware of that?
The subsidy need to go. And it is gone .

Hypocrites! Where were they when the PIA bill was passed? What are they looking at when the 2023 budget that highlighted the removal of fuel subsidy at the end of June was signed?
BAT only reaffirmed what was on the ground, it's too late to complain bcs BAT only acted constitutionally. And some soft landings for fuel subsidy removal have been created.
1 Dangote refinery
2 Transcorp modular refinery
3 Unitary FOREX exchange
4 Cancellation of multiple taxation
Subsidy removal is a price that must be paid if the existence of Nigeria is not negotiable. And if the NLC is insisting then BAT should privatize every sector and reduce the number of workers angry so that the FG can have a few loads to bear and more resources to finance the fuel subsidy payment

Re: Labour Reacts To Tinubu’s Plan To Remove Subsidy by Tonycart: 11:07am On May 30, 2023
Is that how to remove subsidy. So what's the current price of fuel right now. Was it not this same APC that said that there was nothing like subsidy in Nigeria during Jonathan's time. Was it not same APC that said fuel should not be more than 70naira per liter was it not same APC that said they will build more refineries. 8yrs after what did they do. And now you all now think subsidy removal is the solution. Do you know that a litre of fuel is less than 900 naira in Canada. Make Una they think before Una type.
