As a year two university student. I started calling my elder brother to help me with school money and he said, "I should man up and stop disturbing him." I wanted to get angry but I swiftly killed that entitlement mentality because I don't know what his passing through.

In order not to be a burden, I made use of the internet and started learning data entry on YouTube. Before I could say, Jack, I opened an account on UPWORK and started applying for jobs based on data entry. It wasn't easy because no one wanted to give me any job.

Fast forward to last April, I got a 3dollar per hour data entry job from a Philippines. I did it for 3 weeks because it was a short-term project.

I used the money after UPWORK might have removed their share to get a mini apartment around my school environment.

I just parked into it. Money for bed and others hasn't come but I used my Duvet to sleep in my own house for the first time in my life after squatting and borrowing my life in school.

It's a new beginning for me. I am so happy I could work and pay for something like this without disturbing anyone.

I am documenting my experience. One day success will shine on me and I will use this as a reverence point to thank God.
