There was a vote in the Senate, and the vote of those that were against the amendment was more than those that were for amendment.

If the majority of Senators had voted to advance the 3rd term agenda, there is absolutely nothing that the Senate President can do than to approve the bill. That's the beauty of the style of democracy that we practice.

The chances are very high that anyone the Party (APC) puts forwards would still ram through the policies of the presidency/party. It doesn't matter if it's Yari or Akpabio

If PDP had won the majority seats in the Senate, then the Presidency (APC) and the Senate (PDP) would be at logger heads, and the country will be stagnant. 4 years will be wasted. The PIB that passed in the last tenure would not have moved an inch.

That's why the opposition party should work harder so as to win either the Senate or the House of Representatives. Atleast if they lose out on the Presidency, then they can use the other arms of government to checkmate the presidency.
