There are far better and sound Police officers that the need clown 🤡 called IGP...

If it was based on merit he won't be on the top 10

We can do the assessment if you want...

Start naming them.

Name only 5, so your brain is not stressed.

Shouldn’t their loyalty be to nation? And the statement that the most nepotistic President Nigeria has ever seen did not really know the people he appointed, would have been amusing if not for the brain drain & numerous needless deaths his nepotism caused Nigeria in 8 yrs!
Nope, loyalty is to the president, that is why the chief of army will not say no if the president orders the military to invade a community compared to USA where a general will refuse orders from president trump that year

I see five faces in the picture who have proceeded to become national recognitions, Yemi Osinbajo, Rauf Aregbesola, Dele Alake, the current acting IGP and Jagaban himself. What does this say about Tinubu?

You tell us.

Yes you are right but reasonable Nigerians already gave Tinubu their loyalties and as a result trust whoever is appointed by Jagaban.

Tinubu always play the long game.

He is somehow lucky. The IGP is his personal person and the NSA is also very close to him. Their loyalty is 100%.

Buhari had one issue where he worked with people that he doesn’t have that much closeness with and just people recommended to him. That affected him because some of his appointee are grossly disloyal and did whatever they like at the detriment of the General.

That NSA for Ribadu is also very strategic. Ribadu is a trusted ally, someone like that will be trustworthy and loyal such that he will most likely tell the president the right state of security affairs. These are people Tinubu can trust with his eyes closed.

But ACN leaderssold him out in 2011, when he contested to be president under ACN. While he was campaigning for the post, ACN leaders made a secret deal with Jonathan, while ACN won all the state assembly, National Assembly and governorship elections in the South West and lost all but Osun State in the presidential election.
Please someone should get the tape of what Nuhu Ribadu said about Tinubu, when he came to the National Assembly as the then EFCC chairman under Obj as the president of Nigeria then, to give a report about his findings about the governors then.
Honestly, this life no balance at all. As Nigerians, we must learn how not to kill ourselves for these politicians.
They will set up today against each other, meet in their secret meetings to resolve their differences without your knowing.
Don't die for any politician.

It could be 23, and not 33 year.
Nigeria return to democracy is just 24 years in 2023.

Most times, if they are loyal to the president, there is at least 70% chance that they will be loyal to the nation.

If the NSA can see the president as his brother and know for a fact that the success in security is a success for the president, he will do everything he got to make sure there is a safe Nigeria.

Truly they are some president that sometimes go rogue but most president around the word in a democracy want the best for their country.

Lastly, you can be loyal to the president and still be loyal to the nation. Nothing stop you from being both.
but one problem we have in Nigeria is obviously the loyalty is always to those in power, rather than nationhood how many members of buhari's administration disagreed with him? How many told him the true affairs of the nation? You all defended him and the APC no matter how bad it was? Will such situation not encourage compromise and sentiment if the need ever comes for them to be fired? Imagine you giving your real guy a post and then he is not performing not because he wants to sabotage your govt, but because he is clueless, we all saw how the police force spokesperson defended mc oluomo when he made that comment, if it was an ordinary Nigerian I am sure he would have been arrested but due to familiarity he was been defended by the police, familiarity always have a negative effect in Nigeria's political leadership.

You're a liar. Ribadu didnt charge Tinubu to court. Ribadu was removed during Yar'Adua govt.

It was during Jonathan govt that some unscrupulous elements connived with GEJ to tarnish the enviable reputation of Jagaban and he conquered them as usual.

How does this make sense please? Doesn't this sound like self hate to you? I am a citizen of this country and I want my leaders and those they appoint to help govern to be unwavering in their loyalty to the best interest of not just myself but everyone in the country not to themselves or the man who put them there. Blind loyalty is dangerous and I don't have to elaborate. I have no real objections to the appointments but it hurts to see that because we have been put through hell by bad leadership when the leaders do the bare minimum we applaud them like they did something exceptional. This is clearly abuse 101. " Beat them so bad then fix them a little. They'll be so grateful for the small fix that the'll forget you were the one who put them in the situation in the first place" Please Sir, they're public servants and they're supposed to serve you i'e the public and not the president or the powers that be. The new IGP will never follow rule of laws, he will be loyal to the person more than constitution
Why this blind argument... That guy was a DIG before Tinubu became president. So it's not a crime to be a IG. That's if you even know the meaning of DIG

Same thing would have befallen Obi, he would have just picked people he can't really say much about their loyalty. This is one of my major reasons for not supporting him.

Bring the qualification of the best police officer from your village and compare it to the appointed IG, let’s see who is more competent.

Even if anybody brings a more competent and qualified person from the Police as IG, the powers that be be, have made up their minds on who they want.
Amongst all the presidential aspirants in APC that contested the party's primary, was Tinubu the most qualified? But the Northern governors, made up their minds on who they want.
Let's forget about their competence and qualifications, it's all about who they want.

Truth is we still have a long way to go in this country.

So let me be clear before I'm attacked.
We do not have institutions that work independently and we do not have a populace that understands and know their rights. These inefficiency is why we have system that does not work.

At every level of the government you have people who are not competent enough, instead of having a blend of people who are both competent and politically balanced , we rather just place loyal folks in the end the ciu try remains as it is.
