@ganisucks, your analysis is fundamentally flawed, baseless and very hollow in historical standards. As the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces, Tinubu us empowered by the constitution to do away with those soldiers that are either found wanting, or he doesn't want to work with. What's he's doing is, in a sense, weaking the capacity of the military to stage a coup. Obj did it in 1999. He sacked the five service chiefs at the Eagles Square hrs, not weeks, like Tinubu, after being sworn in. Two days later, he retired over 160 top military officers. So, what the hell are u smoking? What he's doing is what I'd like to call THE AUDACITY OF DARING, in Edward Said's words. You should learnt about how these things, intrigues, if u prefer, work, instead of spewing out these loads of emptiness you call writing. |

It is military tradition that when junior officers are promoted, their senior will be retire because they can`t take orders from thier surbodinate.I saw it coming when the new service chiefs are picked from Regular Course 38 and 39 when we stil have course 36 and 37 in the service.Let them go and retire with their own CASH OUT LOOTS. 1 Like |

Nigeria have too many redundant generals anyway, go and look at their postings except the one's commanding active combat military divisions, operations and formations, most of them are just basically civil servants doing basically administrative jobs. That is why they can retire 100 generals every couple of years without caring. 2 Likes |

RaptorX: Other countries are calling men in uniform generals, even Nigeria dey follow call their own men the same names. Such an insult for that position. What is Nigeria doing with such amount of people as generals? just promoting them and wasting the scarsce resources the country is managing... We don't need plenty generals, we need captains of industries to provide jobs for the unemployed population, we need more scholars. When people have jobs to go to and earn a living, crime reduces. We need more learned and honest people to police us. Not generals who want to be politicians after retirement. |
