Dr Oramah said the bank was already building the first African Specialist Hospital in Abuja, and Energy Bank, pledging to inject more money into the economy to further build confidence of investors.

This is the success we've been anticipating for......
Well done Mr Presido.

You kill the local investors and now go around seeking for international investors. How many of this countries wants you to invest on there land rather than welcoming you African leaders with our stolen money.
Look Nigerians are talented, they can manufacture things in other to adjust to livehood.
Just create an enabling environment without Tribalism, religion and political sentiments and see how we will give you 10times the satisfaction you are looking out
best comment so far In terms of Agriculture Nigerians are good in agribusiness. But the government has killed local investors. People are managing on a small scale cuz of insecurities and government useless policy now transportation is on a high side and now you have increased electricity tarrif. This is very bad

In two years time come back to this thread and tell us how many businesses were attracted through that "nice" statement

Are we really ready for investors?

What's power like?
Security?
Ease of doing business?
Raw material?

I don't think so.

No pains no gains. I pray it work out as Tinubu is trying to put things in order. This is one of the most difficult time for Nigerians. Many things were destroyed during Buhari's regime. All hands must be on deck to rebuild again.

Is it by prayer that things will work?

Which "all hands should be on deck to rebuild"?

Stop blocking and hindering your self. Get out of your own way. Reduce and eliminate your own stealing. Don't care for those people you feel you owe. Work for Nigeria, and not only the interest of your fraudulent partners. I wish you work non discriminatory for Nigeria.

If the bank is already building a hospital, the question is when did it start building the hospital that you now attributing it to Tinubu?

Why wait for a bank to come build a hospital for nigeria when government received billions every year for such?

Yes, I know we're deficient in some facilities but Tinubu is set to woo / encourage them to come while we work on our deficiencies.

The issues of infrastructural deficiency was not caused by Tinubu but he has to take responsibility which he's done.

It's important he attend the meeting and showcase our country before South Africa Ramaphosa would claim to be the representative of Africa again.

I'm convinced that Nigeria would be fine under the watch of Tinubu and the glory of Nigeria shall return.

Is Tinubu saying that in the last 8years, nigeria wasn't ready for business or to welcome foreign investors?

Is he now indicting buhari?

I think Tinubu should tackle insecurity first before expecting investors. There no way they can wholeheartedly invest where there no guarantee for security of lives and properties.
Citizens from rich countries are always warned to avoid certain part of this country for they risk being kidnapped. This is what happens everyday to ordinary Nigerians and government seem to not give a damn.

Now that Tinubu has removed those clog in the wheel of progress, Nigeria is indeed ready for business.

Fulani / herdsmen would reduce their killings activities when they realize support / encouragement are no longer coming from the top anymore.

With all you said, which one did buhari now do? Did he not do anything again as many of you were hailing him including Tinubu?

The summit in France is about climate change and reducing inequality. What has it now got to with showcasing our country to investors?

Meanwhile...

Tinubu needs to work on unifying the nation and ensuring security
That's the best way to attract fdi and not all this subsidy and exchange rate.
I remember in 2014 when Mrs Okonjo-Iweala had done all in her power to ensure Nigeria hosted WEF only for BH to kidnap chibok girls and heighten security fears in the country. The WEF flopped as a result.
Same with the Miss World beauty pageant which was marred by islamists.
Insecurity and Political instability are the biggest inhibitors to FDI not forex or subsidy

You have never seen anything good in the policies rolled out by this new administration, even when many of them have been applauded as a rescue or recovery policies, both at home and abroad. Sometimes I wonder if it is the opposition in you that's playing out or you're just too uneducated to understand them.

To lure investors to Nigeria is not something you go about talking, just put more effort in making Nigeria a friendly place to do business. Electricity, security and stable e economy policy. And we are good to go.

You are welcoming investors to put their funds in a terrible environment grappling with..

Insecurity
Multiple taxation
High transport cost
Inconsistent power supply

...and you believe without addressing these issues, their businesses will strive?

That's how Buhari was ready for CHANGE but changed nothing from bad to good. His change was a very bad one. It was so bad he came back for the second term promising to take the change to the NEXT LEVEL and we have been in the level uptil now.
Tinubu's own is to sign bills that have no possitive effects on his poor die hard follwers talk more of us that are only remembered as Nigerians when they want to show us pepper.
Yet in see people saying things like " be optimistic, be hopeful, be patient, things will fall into place in months to come"
Forgetting how they had been optimistic, patient and hopeful when My sweet Bubu came in till he spent 8yrs of total failure.
Truly, Nigerians deserve the leaders they get. They forget so fast. Give excuses for failure.
