My love to the your wonderful cuties. God bless them real good. We are approaching 31 weeks this saturday and so far everything looks ok apart from back and waist ache as a result of pressure. You guys should take heart. Cry if it makes you feel better but always know at the end of every IVF, its God that gives. He knows best and needs you to keep concentrating on Him no matter what! Just know that one day, you will conquer and the sad days will be remembered no more. I always tell my story to encourage people. When I tell my colleagues and close friends that I did 6 ivf, the only question they ask is 'why did u keep doing it with all the negative results and wasting ur money' and my response was and will always be that 'I believe God that one day it will work'. Today, am expecting twins to the glory of God and we are almost there.
My sisters, I don't pray for even my enemies to pass thru what I went thru but don't give up. Take a break and try naturally with your hubby if your tubes are good. Miracles do happen everyday. One love. We are all in this together till you all Succeed at achieving a BIG FAT POSITIVE. One love.
Who has not seen my tummy yet? That is what God can do!

Hello Fruitful women of Zion! I posted earlier on how my 1st IVF attempt went, well i'm back on the thread to cheer someone up being someone in the boat as you cheesy The good news is i'm alive, healthy, have a supportive hubby and above all i have a faithful God! and the stale news is the cycle failed! Surprisingly, i'm naturally a cry-cry baby but i've felt very confident and determined in my spirit that this too shall pass and VICTORY shall be mine soon aint no devil seeing my tears!
@ anyone grieving about a failed cycle, pls dont despair, as the Lord liveth you shall carry your children! When it is toughest is when the victory is about to manifest, remember the story of Narman the lepper who was asked to dip himself in river and his healing happened at the 7th attempt! I'm sure if he gave up at the 6th attempt prolly his healing would'nt have come...
We are more than conquerors and we have also overcome by the blood of the lamb!

There are so many reasons to smile ladies, dont ive up as your miracle is on the way! Watch this space as VERY SOON i shall come back to testify of the goodness of God! Right now, i wanna give my body a break as it seems my whole life is revolving around TTC! Aint gonna let it hold me down again, I have decided to commune with my creator who's got the manual to fix whatever needs fixing in my body1 If he could make the dead womb of Mama- Sarah to conceive ,how much less mine wink
Love y'all...

Pls ladies i will implore you people to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! Pls i recommend 'stand' by Donnie Mclurrkin for everyone. my doctor told me of a woman that got preg at her 11th time even after going to India to no avail, yes it is capital intensive but we can do it, we will all smile in jesus name. pls dont give up ladies.

According to Resolve, the National Infertility Assn., one in eight U.S. couples of child-bearing age is diagnosed with infertility. Two long years ago, my husband and I unfortunately found ourselves in this category. It's been a heartbreaking journey ever since.

We still don't have any children to show for our efforts, but we remain hopeful that we'll eventually have the family we've always wanted. I don't talk about it much, because to retell it is to relive it, and this is hard enough to go through once. Also, over the years, I've heard my share of well-meaning but cringe-worthy statements that just made me feel worse.

My Turn: Personal stories by Health section readers

I feel for my friends and family, because they have the best of intentions and want to say something comforting and helpful. But there's almost nothing they can say.

Most people probably know at least one couple enduring infertility. If those couples are anything like me, here are five things they don't want to hear:

• Unless you are a board certified fertility doctor, please refrain from diagnoses. Anyone going through this has gotten second, third and fourth opinions: we don't need any more.

• Please don't tell us to "just" do anything. Examples: "I don't understand why you don't just get a surrogate" or "You should just adopt!" Often these are said with the nonchalance of suggesting we order a pizza. Both paths are unbelievably complicated and expensive (in every sense of the word), and we've probably already considered or are still considering them.

• Please don't tell us to relax or stop trying or "go on vacation and just have sex — surely it'll happen then." This dawned on us. It didn't work. And yet we still try every month, hoping for one of these incredibly wonderful (but unlikely) miracles that people love to mention.

• Don't tell us about your friends for whom it all worked out. We realize you're just trying to give us hope, and that's very nice of you, but unfortunately, it reinforces the feeling that it's happening for everyone but us.

• And finally, while we sincerely appreciate your interest and concern, please don't ask us if we're pregnant. As someone who's had miscarriages during the precarious first trimester, I'm very superstitious. You'll know when we're ready to share.

So, what can you say or do?

First, listen. Or, if you know it will make you uncomfortable to hear about it, let us know that. We'll be A-OK talking about something — anything — else.

Second, say you're sorry for our struggle. Several months ago, a friend of mine wrote me the loveliest, simplest paragraph I didn't even know I so badly needed to hear:

"I am so very sorry. I'm most sorry that there's nothing I can say that will make this better for you. But please know you're in my thoughts and prayers and I am wishing you peace and good news. I'm always here to talk if you want to."

Iwangobio, we are great, waiting for everything to end soon. We thank God for His faithfulness, He will surely make this 5th cycle to be your last by His grace. Lots of testimonies are being shared this season and yours and everyone on this thread is next. He will do it. Did u read the latest testimony on the ttc thread? God is definitely at work and this season, more bfp's will abound by His grace. My heart goes to everyone who had a BFN this month, don't give up, God can and will still do it even naturally so please don't feel sad. We shall all carry our babies come 2013 IJN.

Just on tuesday this week, I went to Georges for my normal ANC and this elderly couple walked in with a cute baby strapped to a young ladies back. I generally assumed the baby was their grand child and they probably escorted the young lady and the baby to the clinic. To my surprise all the staff of the clinic including the MD all came down and were congratulating the elderly couple and carrying the baby. Tears dripped from my eyes when one of the nurses explained how the woman conceived but went abroad to have the baby that is why they were all jubilating cos they were seeing the baby for the first time. I was really touched. If God can do it for that couple at that age, I want to encourage us not to give up cos God has not retired from the good work of producing babies, He will surely do yours. Keep the faith and put prayers first before any procedure you choose to do. God is still at work and YOURS is next.

dearest blendy, bucacious ,nwabebe osiyemia and all the other contributors ..... my story is going to be as short as my road from seven years of TTC to my first positive ever..... my husband stumbled on this forum exactly 5weeks ago and asked me to follow up. he had narrowed down on dr emeka....based on what he had read. I called this pleasant and god sent dr, made an appointment and went to see him.he looked at our recent investigations from our last attemept at nordica.... and listened to our entire history over one hour and gave his candid opinion even though and i hadnt even registered..... we started treatment immediately cos my day 21 was four days later. he accepted the results from nordica all he did was a scan and our infection screen. then we embarked on my sixth IVF/ICSI attempt. I however must say that this was the first time i actually felt my dr was on my side.... he was professional, concerned and always there, the thoroughness and attention to detail exhibited by him and his team reassured me and my husband completely. for the first time i could actually understand in detail what was being done...cos of the simple way he explained each step supported with printed material. to cut a long story short i went for my PT on the same day the 60 year old lady blendy is referring to came with her baby to greet dr emeka with I think 10bags of rice and all praise for him (blendy wish I knew who you were, I would have hugged you, beacause it means you were there that day too)......and my test was POSITIVE.......POSITIVE!!!!! i am in tears, tears of joy. but i must write this to thank all of you who lead us there.....and possibly inspire others as I was inspired. THANK you and help me to glorify GOD who has used Dr emeka to wipe our tears and fill our hearts with joy...... I know the nine month Journey has just started .... but thank GOD it has.... this is DR emekas number 08032011536 as I saw it here and called.... i feel fulfilled in posting it again for someonelse. ....thanks people

Udemm, congratulations, so happy for you. This is good news and we thank God. Am very sure we passed ourselves that day cos I was there when the lady entered with her baby and was still there pursuing my maternity leave letter when she left so if you met the lady you must have met me there that is if you didn't seat close to me. Don't know if you saw Dr Emeka teasing me over how the lady brought 10bags of rice to greet them that me I only come to disturb him instead of bringing goodies like the elderly lady and I smiled and said I'll do more than 10 bags after my babies have been delivered safely. And the matron and Dr Emeka's PA screamed amen. Congrats on your BFP, you see how God still performs 12th hour miracles. To Him be all the glory as I wish you a stress free nine months with twins and triplets. Lots of hugs and kisses to your babies.

@ Arisolama, inwangobio and others have mentioned a clinic in gwarinpa estate, you might want to read their posts again to get the name of the clinic. I also know a lot of peeps used National Hospitals but can't tell of their success rate. On the other hand, you can still use google to get the names of IVF clinics in Abuja, bring the names to this thread to find out if anyone has used them before. Heard bridge is also in Abuja or kaduna, not too sure again. All the best with your search. Would have been of help if you were in Lagos. All the best Dear.
