Blessed women,
I'm glad to be here.
Your stories challenged me.
Thanks for psalms 23 that started this thread up till now since 2011.
I celebrate you.
Congratulations to mummies of multiple babies.

I started my journey on seeking medical attention when I had spotting few days after my period in December 2018.

I went through a series of scans and medications in Warri.
I was diagnosed of ovarian demoid cyst on both ovaries with the left being more.

I was referred by a medical doctor to visit OAUTH ILE IFE.
I started another phase of tests and scans in August 2019 through December.
Last Wednesday I completed all the test and one of the tests which is hormonal confirms

F.H: 2.1
Lh: 5.0
Prolactin: 8.3
Progesterone: 4.3

I was told fh should be more than LH & that the progesterone level is lower than expected (10).

Dh has over 83million count
But the active motility is low

I was told I will be referred to the fertility clinic after I take another Transvaginal scan since I have undergone HSG recently.

What can I do to improve my progesterone level before I resume this process in January 2020?
I have been away from dh for over a month now.

I believe with God anything is possible.
What medication can I take while we baby dance?

Thanks.

@JaneCedars, how about balancing your hormones. although my own case was always high prolactin, so after taking dostinex everything usually falls inline.

Drugs to improve progesterones are cyclogest ( used through the vagina or anus)or progesterone injection or progesterone tablets.

It's better to see a fertility expert, they will help you ovulate then progesterone drugs to support pregnancy.

Some take routine drugs like fertile aid or vitamin e and folic acid or fh pro.please work with your doc.

Taking herbs won't do any harm like cinnamon and honey, bitters. Detoxifying your system , exercise, loosing weight if on the big side, loosing weight, doing water therapy won't hurt at least a month before seeing a doc.

PLEASE DONT TAKE OVULATION DRUGS WITHOUT PROPER MONITORING..

SUCCESS.

Well, based on the stories online, the clinics are good but the reasons why most people don't mentioned it is because they're expensive. For Instance, three cycle@Grabbo is 1million and three cycle@Bridge cost N2,650. The difference is N1,650. So, someone like me choose where I used based on the price and the result still came out positive.

Note: Using the most expensive fertility hospital will not increase your success rate. The only thing that increase your success rate is God, follow your doctor instructions and preparing your body before the procedure.

pls madam, can you please explain more, I mean the cost, their attitude to ttc patients and their success rate. I wish to try them too but I need a review before I proceed. Thanks

Cost: i think it depends on diagnosis. I paid 800k for the first cycle, after serious bargaining, and I paid less than that with additional 250k for embryo freezing for the second cycle. I was also referred to him by another doctor. Don't know if the doctor's name did something or not.

Attitude: Not sure I understand this question. I was always attended to promptly. I didn't get to see Prof Loto one on one throughout my cycle but he was easily accessible by phone anytime I had question. He had competent doctors on ground, I think he reviews your result with the doctor and tell them what to do. He does the retrieval and embryo transfer himself.

Success rate: I got a positive report after my second cycle. I have heard and seen people who got positive responses from his hospital. I read some of his publications online and I had confidence in what he was doing. I was initially suppose to cycle at a clinic in Osogbo but their attitude just put me off, they were so particular about money. They wanted me to do the short cycle thing cos the Dr. Was going to be away. Even though this clinic was far from me, I settled for it and prayed about it.

I hope I have being able to shed light on the questions a bit.

For those trying to contact me, I can't remember the email address I used for opening this Nairaland account. If you can drop your email or phone number, I shall contact you.

Hello house I am in a long distance marriage and I am going to visit my wife for two weeks, I want to confirm if it is possible for the doctor to take my sperm and froze it, then when my wife is ready for the IVF , then the doctor can use it. Is this possible? BC I have to go back to work to enable me get paid.

Moreso my wife got a good job recently, is it possible for her to be working and going through the IVF? Will this affect her new job?

Lastly my wife have multiple Fibroids but very small, can she do IVF with it without operating it? I will appreciate responses. Thank you

Well based on my own experience, your sperm can be freeze but I will advice you to use fresh sperm(Produce the day your wife will do her egg retrieval) because they're more active. Me and my husband plan that too but the doctor advised that fresh sperm is better.

Secondly:Your wife can go to work during the IVF procedure but she needs to take leave because I will not advise her to resume work immediately after embryo transfer.

Thirdly: About the fibroids, she can proceed if she's using donors egg since the size are small but if she's using her own egg. I will advice her to embark on the operation before the she proceed with the IVF.

I operated my own fibroids before IVF procedure but due to the injections and drugs given to us for the IVF procedure, the fibroids grows back but thank God the baby did not give the fibroids space to grow well. We discovered the fibroids growth after my positive result. I also discovered something about the IVF procedure, apart from the price for the procedure someone needs to sacrifice a lot of things and endured a lot of pain such as injections pain and mock transfer pain.

The good thing is that your wife will have her own children soon

Congratulations on the wise decision you're about to embark on and I will congratulate you in advance for the triplet that is coming to the family soon.

Before you embark on IVF or IUI. First our locations matter, also consider the price and remember that your wife and you need to prepare your body before you start the procedure.

Try and go through my testimony after my positive result. You will learn a lot there. Once again congratulations in advance for the good news that is coming to the family soon.
