I want to vividly know what a marriage of going to this
registry of a thing is...what it actually entails and at
the same time is it the same thing as COURT MARRIAGE?. Coz that's actually what i'm considering when it's time (ya'll know what i mean)...i'm not a party to this plenty people during wedding (nor be unto financial constraint o)...BUT i just want a brief ceremony and that's all. (na only your food 9ja people con chop nobody send u )

A STATUTORY MARRIAGE (OFTEN CALLED COURT MARRIAGE) IN NIGERIA IS A UNION OF A MAN AND WOMAN AS DEFINED BY THE MARRIAGE ACT.

There is nothing like "Court Marriage". What we have been calling court marriage all along is "Marriage by Registry" done by almost every well recognize church.
Some people prefer to do it in the Local Govt Council because of church strict laws, moreover everyone is not a Christian.
And it involves some court affidavits that why some feel is court marriage.
