I stumbled across this excerpt where Tinubu promised to reduce the purchasing power of citizens. His exact words were;

...If we reduce the purchasing power of the people, we can further slow down the economy. Let's widen the tax net...

What I can't understand though is why those people were clapping. Are they still clapping now? 🤔

Like Peter Obi always says, the people contribute to the problem of bad leadership in Nigeria.

How can Tinubu stand before an audience and say horrible things and still get an applause at the end of the speech?

Even when he made that hullabaloo comment, people still clapped for him! You want to reduce people's purchasing power? Wow! Just wow!

So what exactly was his problem with our purchasing power ?? And why would a sensible person deliberately slow than the. Economy (further)

And worst still widen the Tax net of the slowed down economy.. like it doesn't make any sense cos the slowed down economy translates to low productivity and hence widening "tax net" ( what ever that means) is just pure, undiluted and unblemished Evil.

Mad fellows clapping

Lol.. It doesn't make sense. The clapping is the puzzling part. Perhaps some bits were left out?

I believe there is an explanation for it though because even a mad person cannot be that careless in suggestions 😂
